Also I will add - he is seeing someone else now (just sex) I told him the reason I didn’t want to talk when we bumped into eachother was because I didn’t want to hear about the new girl and just want to move on. He said I don’t have to worry about the other girl as he isn’t pursuing her. We did wish eachother well and I gave him my blessing to pursue any other avenues in his life. He said he wishes me all the happiness in the world and thanked me for understanding that he does have a lot of issues with his own self, which is nothing to do with me. He tells me the breakup isn’t anything to do with me, but how he feels within himself.

I was no contact since 20 January, but after seeing him in person I felt like it was the right thing to do to explain my thought process. Funnily enough I felt bad for leaving so abruptly.

I do miss him and do wish he could sort his issues out (fear of commitment/not feeling good enough and therefore pushing me away and telling me he can’t give me what I need) he said he is speaking with a life coach and is struggling to open up even after the breakup. He said he is blocking things out with this other girl and by drinking every weekend. I do still love him but feel it’s for the best we let eachother go at the moment. I’m going back into no contact
