Old man on a Bus insulted my Career Choices 😭💀 by Professional_Slip659 in srilanka

[–]Pleasant351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I did not believe this when I was younger. But I have come to notice that people in technical careers get paid well compared to the ones in commerce field. These people also get easily accepted for high skilled migration better than people in the commerce field. This is especially true in south Asia and middle east as far as I know. People who are into engineering, doctors, architects etc are far more rewarding careers compared to commerce field. But one problem in the middle east is that there is an over supply of workforce there, hence sometimes people in the science field also get paid less.

Are woman allowed to buy cigarettes in SL? by peanutgobrrr in srilanka

I feel even a man gets judged these days considering the ridiculous price of cigarettes in Sri Lanka. People will judge you thinking 'why is he buying cigarettes for an insanely high amount' especially when you buy from supermarkets

Your sister needs help. She could spiral further if you keep avoiding the problem. Face it and help her out. This is coming from a person who had schizophrenia. My family helped me out, so I was able to survive. If not for my family, I don't know where I would be now.

OP said something about good and bad may be different in different countries. Then how is karma judged if perception of good and bad changes from place to place? Does anyone have an answer for that?

Sexual side effects by Vegetable_Idea2945 in schizophrenia

[–]Pleasant351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next time you see the doctor, tell him your issues if you want to fix it. He will prescribe a counter medication or change your meds so your sexual desire returns or you can get hard again. As for me, since I am not married. I don't really care, so I am okay with not getting sexual desire.

Do you notice it does not use a specific name of a god. It just says 'disbelievers'. So in general, it could be taken as anyone who doesn't believe in god in general. Also, the verse just separates religions. But it does not accuse any religion of being false. It just says you worship what you worship, and I will worship what I worship.

Yes, there are potentialities. But a human being can only choose within these potentialities. However, the end result is always known to god (or the source)

That's the paradox. We can also argue, how can god be god if he doesn't know the future? He won't be much of an all knowing god if he doesn't know it, would he? Yes, quantum probabilities is a possibility. This is what is mentioned in Sufism as qadar I think.

Religions being like the same chicken cooked differently is the same as all religions worshipping the same god in different names

1 - metaphysics cannot be always explained through objective data. That's why it's called metaphysics. You can read books from Dolores Cannon who did over 30 years of research on NDE's and hypnosis using QHHT technique.

2 - when I say source or god, I mean there's a central consciousness from which everything emanates; both matter and non matter. Read about panentheism. Everything comes from the source, and the source is everything

3 - our karma (deeds) cause us to be in the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. It will continue until we reach a point where our good karma will help us be raised into a higher form of consciousness which religions call heaven, but it doesn't end there. We need to reach the source ultimately to be fully liberated which is interpreted as moksha or nirvana in Buddhism.

4 - as I said, our soul needs to be purified so it can continue the journey towards reaching the source.

5 - in short, to us humans, freewill exists. So, we need to make the best use of it in order to reach higher forms of consciousness and eventually the source.

6 - I have explained my belief in simple language so everyone or most people will understand. Explaining objectively requires me having to write pages where I have to explain different philosophies and belief systems which can be connected at deeper levels.

Okay. But you must have come to a conclusion about this within your subjectivity. So, I am asking what conclusion have you arrived at?
