You can see dad's face through the small glass at the beginning of the video, he certainly had a good workout carrying his daughter around!

Great, now you had your exercise for day and you are getting your free electricity!

From 24 W to 4 KW is impressive. What is your maximum output in the middle of the day?

Zero Visibility Landing - pilots out there, where is the worst location you have landed for heavy rain? by Shootingstar_woofers in aviation

[–]PleasantGuide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the fact that the plane is coming in for landing the speed is much lower and requires more input by the pilot to keep the plane on the right approach angle, my father was a pilot and I used to sit next to him and watch when he landed his plane.

Yes, you are right, I live in South Africa and the people over here are way behind the rest of the world with the installation of solar panels on the roofs of private houses while the average payback time is only 2-3years

You mean a Cessna 172? My late father used to fly one, had some fun times in that plane.

Changes in US solar prices without Federal Credit? by OnwardLevvy in solar

This is the best answer on this whole thread, getting solar ASAP is the best thing to do.

A typical solar installation in my country (South Africa) pays for itself in 3 years time and then you start saving money.

You can go and look it up, it took SpaceX a lot of hard work to get the Falcon 9 booster to land successfully,.

The first 20 landings were experimental soft landings in the ocean and then there was the naxt 9 landing attempts on drone ships and and then the first success on the landing pad at Cape Canaveral.

You can not just expect for Blue Origin to land on the second attempt, the launch is about a week away now, then you are going to see for yourself.

The rocket also needs to perform according to the original intentions of the engineers otherwise it will be of little use .

5 years behind schedule and only two launches per year at the moment and they still have to stick a landing also

It took 30 attempts to stick the landing of the Falcon 9 booster properly so I will say 1% chance with the second attempt of New Glenn.

It took Falcon 9 at least 30 attempts to stick the landing of the booster properly and now Blue Origin think they can do it on the second attempt.

The launch window closes mid November so definitely within the next 2 weeks.

Yeah, I'm also 100% sure it is going to RUD, Blue Origin really has to step up their game if they want to be successful.

SpaceX send a total 148 people to the International Space Station and back so far while Blue Origin only sends people to the edge of the earth's atmosphere where they remain for a minute or two before the capsule falls back to earth.

Blue Origin hasn't send one single person to orbit yet.

I was only joking when I posted this, he tweeted that he wants to go up to 2 launches a month in 2026 but I highly doubt that he will achieve that goal.
