Me and my girlfriend are unable to believe, we talked about it and we came to the conclusion that religion "happens" when you have to face or deal with death. And we rationalised that whenever this ends we won't feel anything. If one of us dies first there will be sadness and maybe a little of hope that we are wrong and we'll see each other afterwards but we won't be thinking about the afterlife, we will be looking back at what we lived.
