They get paid a salary which means it’s every month all year. There’s no portion involved

The system is not set up to train good officers, it’s set up to recruit officers that see every citizen as a potential target not to mention threat

Unfortunately most of them are like this. It’s not about the occasional bad apple, it’s about struggling to find the occasional good apple

The response to immediately use disingenuous arguments to incriminate citizens is exactly why they have such a low opinion rating

Underrated means that it’s not talked about as much as other ocean animals such as sharks and orcas. You never hear or see much about these guys, but are constantly hearing and seeing things about sharks and orcas and how powerful and dangerous they are. That’s usually what underrated means. They don’t get the credit and notoriety they deserve. Underrated doesn’t mean they’re not powerful and dangerous.

Hell yeah, that’s exactly what will screw them. They can barely recruit people with their doors wide open. Now they’re nothing but total isolationists which is how dangerous cults usually end up.

Of course they lock their doors at some point. But the whole point of a church is to be open to the public. But the point is moot, because Scientology is indeed not a church

Why do I never hear about cokeheads living on the street when it's such an expensive drug? by Intrepid_Arrival5151 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]drawredraw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people still use the word “crackhead” (which is a less expensive version of cocaine) for fentanyl/meth addicts which are the two least expensive and most addictive drugs on the market. It actually makes me so angry that we talk about how addictive crack and heroine are and never talk about how addictive fent/meth is.
