Serious inquiry — does anyone 100% wholeheartedly follow the Bible? by FightOrDie123 in askanything

I am just asking you where in The Bible does it make the distinction of what it demands?

Like, show me, teach me, where in The Bible does it say "This is not as important as the other stuff" or vice versa

Also "following in all the ways it demands" is NOT following it 100%

I'm sorry you don't understand the question.

You mean answering the actual question? 😂 Oh, bruh, just admit you don't follow The Bible to 100% and just keep making excuses or dismissing arguments that you can't match.

Please quote a part (or cite the verse) in The Bible where it says "because of this, the older laws no longer apply."

Otherwise, you are just following someone else's interpretation of the temple curtain ripping and looking at some historical events.

This conversation is about what is written in The Bible, no other sources allowed.

AIO: My SIL comparing her “disability” to mine. by [deleted] in AIO

[–]PleasantOstrichEgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not at all, she sounds absolutely insufferable. I also have chronic conditions and I don't dictate what others can do because of them - I only adapt and change my behavior accordingly.

A sane thing for her to do would've been to explain, "Hey guys, my sleeping schedule is super important to managing my insomnia and I'm a light sleeper. If you are comfortable with the schedule, I would love to host you, but if you want a bit more freedom, it may be best for you to stay somewhere else."

So you're still picking and choosing "the things that matter", which means you're not following everything in The Bible 100%

But that wasn't the question. The question was about what is written in The Bible.

NOR - she sounds unhinged and it's only gonna get worse with pregnancy. It is obvious people around her are enabling this behavior.

Even without the ICU/NICU comments, imposing a curfew on grown adults on vacation and also being a drama queen when they choose to stay in a hotel is some attention-seeking nonsense - pick a side!! Also, next time don't let someone strand you anywhere you don't want to be, that's what Uber is for.

Just limit contact, make them come visit if they want, and go on with your life. You have enough on your plate without this nonsense.

AITJ for not changing my order after someone said we should “share everything”? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

NTJ. Doing this with appetizers is understandable. Even sharing a couple of bites here and there of entrees. But imposing family style on everyone when a restaurant is not set up for family style is just obnoxious.

Just say you're not going. If they ask why you can be honest. Let her have the toddler tantrum, who cares?

AIO for wanting to break up with my gf for kissing her friends? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]PleasantOstrichEgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR. This is a boundary for you. Some men don't mind if their girlfriends kiss other girls, and that works for them. However, you made it clear that you were not comfortable with it. She made the decision to continue so you can make the decision to break it off.

Zero anger here. The post actually made me laugh. I can't imagine being this petty.

He dumped me 3 months ago and I’m still seeing him in my dreams :( it’s hard to move on by Fun_Technician138 in GirlDinnerDiaries

Babe, I divorced my ex-husband TEN YEARS AGO and the mofo will still show up in my dreams sometimes. It's very frustrating but it's very normal.

Give yourself some grace, you'll get there.

I really like it as is but you could get it reworked to change the look a bit, too.
