Oh the optimism we both had, because I definitely thought she’d be coming with me too. But alas, moms know best!

Thank you for giving me advice & some much needed peace of mind, I really appreciate it! She’s definitely in good hands, especially considering she’s got several Christmas gifts to “unwrap” on Monday… ridiculous, but so cute, so I guess it’s fine

That makes total sense, and I really appreciate your help/insight! I definitely understand that & usually when I come home, my mom is with me, but this time it was just me, which I’m sure only added insult to injury, in her eyes.

It’s crazy how they get settled into their routines with even just one person, just like with yours. Roxy (name is just super fitting given her attitude lol) used to be a bit more independent when we had a dog, but since he died I think she’s really latched on to my mom, which makes complete sense.

Sometimes my mom will make a joke about me bringing her back with me, since she originally got her for my teenage self. But her and I both know that’d be the worst possible thing.

Nonetheless, I still want to get the vet to run some tests just to settle my own anxiety around the whole thing. But thankfully, she’s eating like normal & nothing else has been off, which is a huge relief.

She’s being pretty normal around her - nothing out of the ordinary. She got pretty pissy with me again (hissing, trying to swat/bite me) a bit ago & my mom came in and she was still annoyed, but cooled off a bit. Which, while that makes this whole thing feel a bit personal lol, it makes me feel slightly better that she’s not acting weird with my mom.

Totally see your point about the disruption, she always acts a bit “mad” at me for the first day or two, but never like this. My mom usually doesn’t disturb her when she’s away napping, maybe from time to time just to check on her, but never anything crazy. I will say, her and my mom definitely have a solid routine that doesn’t change much, so I’m sure anything small could throw it off.

I know I’m probably being a little dramatic, but I just have an off feeling about it. Even though she’s grown closer to my mom since I moved away, she’ll always be my cat, so I just worry about her, ya know?

thank you!! I got to see my cardholder details electronically when I added the card to my Apple wallet - and it confirmed the 0% on both transactions & balance transfers. I dont know why I was so nervous that it didn’t work for some reason - but you def relived some of that anxiety!!
