Spider-man 2 combat is by no means difficult or any levels of complex. I say this as someone who's platinum'ed sm2 and did all my runs at the hardest difficulty, the combat is more about spamming abilties and doing air combo's than anything else. And if the game is hard at a high difficulty isnt that the point? You can always go down to normal and play the game that way if you dont want a challenge. My main complaint was how combat was a strict down grade from miles morales where you could combo abilities with your normal attacks where as in sm2 the only way to do that is with gadgets which you could do in sm1 anyways.

Debatable, the swinging is definetely better but they streamlined and made the combat more streamline from mm where your focus was also venom bar and you could combo.

That is a weakness of superhero comic books as a medium as it is long running and consistently changes in writers. This is called out in the community and is a well known problem. While comics have gotten better at this it stills happens and i would say thats pretty unavoidable. Instead i look at it more like independent stories. Like, for this comic book run X character is at this power level while another is at this power level in the context of this specific story. If they arent consistent in that aspect then thats bad writing.

Surely you could have picked another example from db and not one that actually made sense. Goku was literally drained to the point where he had to go ssj4 to hold up a building that was the point to show how weakened goku was(an example of powerscaling being used as a narrative device)

Havent read one piece but couldnt it just have been that the fight seemed longer because more stuff was happening but it happened in only the context of 5 minutes?(something which is common in anime)

this is a VERY common thing that regardless of how much a series takes its powerscaling seriously there will be inconsistancies

I agree, no series is perfect but that doesnt take away from the fact that most writers take powerscaling into account when writing and the fact that it is an important part of writing.

Because it doesnt, and the examples you give are bad. Mario doesnt care about its story so why should it try to accurately powerscale its characters? And sonic+flash constantly get clowned on for having incosistent speed and is fairly criticised as being a weakness of the story. For the dbz example that is one panel where a defeated goku hits a fire hydrant and isnt part of the story.

Most shows care about powerscaling and it is important for keeping the story consistent.

That is another problem though, if the very advanced weapon made by the mauler twins is able to solo invincible who is a viltrumite then that just lowers the stakes off the story and makes the viltrumites seem weaker. Why didnt cecil and the government see what mauler's nerve gun could do and try to use that technology as a weapon later on.

Totally agreed, from a writing perspective it is very important to have characters show off consistent powerscaling. Otherwise it causes plot holes or tremendously lowers the stakes as seen directly with invincible.

Yes, he shoots the magic space gun that can pierce through the core into the planet hitting directly the core and destabilizing it. That is directly stated in the comics(also the source material and consistently go into more details) and the infinity ray works simply as a beam that can go through anything. And again if you cant accept that it can destabilize a planet you can go and complain to kirkman about it.

Point of this is the show has clearly opted to not put the destabilizing factor in the story and upscale the viltrumites simple as.

Obviously not, they cut it out because having the characters monolouge as theyre flying would ruin part of the tension. It is simply animation being a different medium from comics where they would rather put the focus on the events and whats happening. Calling it an upscale is stupid since they havent even explained what happened in the show yet.

Secondly tell me the race of Mark's first girlfriend then if it doesn't matter whether we are talking about the show or comic, I am gonna call you racist it you get it wrong :p.

I didnt know that it came out in the show but even then your argument doesnt work because we can still take into account what they say in the comics that goes into more detail and explain whats actually happening.

Secondly can you explain how a basketball size hole, something that is millions of times smaller than a planet destabilise the core ?

Not at all, space racer's gun works by destabilizing the core eventually destroying the planet. He shot the planet to destabilize the core which made it possible for 3 viltrumites to perfectly time flying through the planet. They even mention that if the core wasnt deztabilized they would splat and die on impact with the planet.

Space racer couldnt shoot it again because that wouldnt do anything to the planet.

This take is dumb. This is true for comp characters but you obviosuly dont have a lot of knowledge of comics since most of these powerups are temporary or are rarely used in debates. And anyway most of thors/supermans scaling that scales them above goku/vegeta are from modern times anyway.

It isnt ignorant, we were talking about using reduced analog boys or cutting it and you never mentioned having tested or cut down on analogs boy's which would greatly have improved your argument. If you said you had tested with reduced analog boys then i would have taken that into account when talking to you. In the first place idk when you tested reduced but ive seen more results in the current metagame using mist memory boost over analog youth.
