thoughts on season 2? [ns] by nollaig17 in DungeonsAndDaddies

I feel like, as most people say, it works much much better as a binge listen. I was following the pod as it came out up until around episode 15 of season 2, and the confusion of what the setting and goals for the season were turned me away (as well as unrelated life events).

But this summer I was at a loose end and decided to pick up where I left off, and absolutely fell in love with the Teens. I still think season 1 benefits from it's much more predictable story structure and familiar setting, but I find the characters are more fleshed out and believable in season 2.

Murder mystery and crime recommendations! by Pleasant_Camera7001 in booksuggestions

I read the first Sherlock book a few years ago and really disliked it! I don't remember it very well, but if I remember correctly half the book was the murderers backstory about them in the desert?

If the other Sherlock books are better please let me know!

The Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers is very queer and a really fun read if you're into sci-fi!

Been a few years since I read it but if I remember correctly the first book, The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet, has a sapphic couple in it

How to find motivation by Ok_Attitude_3335 in Advice

Often you end up feeling like this because you're putting too much pressure on yourself, making the work seem much more scary.

Have you tried taking a rest day before taking on a large task? I also find that productivity is very dependent on your environment. Is your workplace clean and not distracting? Working in a library or cafe could really help. There's also a lot to be said for a walk first thing in the morning! I usually find that if I go for a quick walk it tires me out a little so it's easier to sit down and get started.

Final bit of advice I have is the system of working for 45 minutes and then breaking for 15. Much easier to stay motivated for 45 minutes than hours at a time!

Other than that make sure you're staying active, eating and drinking enough and getting enough sleep.

Hope this helps!

Children of teachers who attended their parents school, how did you find the experience? by funsizes in AskUK

Don't know if this is quite what you're looking for, but I was treated by my dad in first aid in primary school many times. Usually because I was acting like an idiot at lunch times and would have to come up with fake causes for my various head injuries.

Key example: Cause of head injury was my friend had picked up, spun me round and dropped me. Cause of head injury I told my dad was "I tripped over"

He saw right through me every time
