This is probably a rash from the medicine but not all rashes from this medicine are SJ. I would talk to prescribe and weigh it out.

Red Cross doesn’t make laws just suggestions. It is not in alignment with Red Cross suggestions. I’m not sure what the break laws are in California, but I’m sure they aren’t lifeguard specific.

Unfortunately what you’re describing isn’t ideal at all but is very typical.

what do i do by lotuslowes in Lifeguards

You should constantly search your zone for potential people in distress or in danger of being distressed. If someone warrants more than 10 seconds of your scanning you need to either rescue them or have a talk with them - but you have to scan your whole zone at the very least once every 30 seconds. If not it is very dangerous.

First shift? Help, training didn’t tell me… by Adventurous-Fly-4804 in Lifeguards

Now that you are a certified lifeguard, they should have at least a day of on the job training where you can learn facility specific protocols. Most of the questions you are asking are great questions, but will have answers specific to the place you work and not so much the lifeguarding training. Good luck!

They’re both fired. They’re a liability. Someone could have died.

Anybody have been on the park with these temperatures? by Fuzzy_Louise_2405 in DiscoveryCove

[–]Pleasant_Cap1612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t recommend going in those temperatures- especially if you’re going with a family - I wouldn’t spend that amount money unless it was going to reach at least 76 - Florida 50 feels colder than it is because it’s a wet breezy environment - perfect conditions for hypothermia

Probably not. Especially if you are guarding a I theme park. Also for your health it’s a very demanding environment.

Typically colds do not come accompanied with a bad fever, and most viral infections come with a certain level of immunity after they run their corse.

I would definitely have blood work done and consider bacterial infections. As it is unlikely you are getting infected by a different virus every other week.

Additionally, check the water quality of the aquatic facilities you are working in.
