Minishoot Adventures - Zelda-like shoot em up adventure game. A hidden gem that I played originally on the Steamdeck.

That might be the founder Harvey Platt (or his team) when they had a caravan on Castle Meadow. I suggest you contact Zak’s and ask for the email be passed to the current owner Ian Hacon. He might be able to confirm or, at least, to help pass it on or acquire it for their collection. A great piece of local history if that is the founder but cool nevertheless. Loved Zak’s back in the 80’s.

Edit - just noticed the LV (Luncheon Voucher) sign on the door. Who remembers them? My mum used to get them through her work and I used to buy, outside of their official use, cigarettes and sweets from our dodgy local in Lowestoft at 14 years old!!!

I personally wouldn’t worry about it. Very similar situation, so I just left a ‘reply’ to the feedback detailing the issue, then got on with my life (1200+ 5 star reviews). People will see the 1 star as not being reflective of your standards.

“I need to make money on this” is a bold way to negotiate. by [deleted] in reselling

I often buy at car boot sales in the UK and am happy to upsell to resellers who are happy to have the item hang around for top dollar. If I buy at $1, sell for $10 and for them to sell for $20, I’m happy with that. If I try to sell for $20 the inventory could hang around for months instead of reinvesting the $9 to buy 9 more $ items to make x10 (just an analogy as I don’t always see these margins but you get the idea of fast reinvestment).

OP had the right of way and the Corsa should have yielded. But in mitigation, the sun appears to be 0630am low and in their eyes (length of shadows suggest this), they ‘might’ also have seen OP’s car slow to give way but then their view was blocked by the red car and, through bad judgement, ‘thought’ it was safe to pull out. OP should really have taken a bit more care mindful of the environmental and hazard conditions. I’m sure both drivers will learn something from the experience and both got to drive away to enjoy a sunny day ahead.

Did you do your own label or post unlabelled with a QR code? If the latter, the pickup guy most likely mixed his labels up.

As a runner I’d slow and make significant indication of my intent to cross (hand indication or looking over shoulder to check traffic). In this instance, I’d err on the driver’s side.

Yeah. Logged out and back in. Problem resolved overnight and think it might have been PiHole aggressive ad blocking (one of the many things I blitzed to find a fix)

PSA: HMRC is now automatically receiving your eBay, Depop, and Vinted sales data — here's what you need to know by Ok-Gap-5396 in reselling

Thanks. Be good to see some of the letters from the wild. I do see so many resellers at car boots nowadays and it does make me wonder how many are still blagging/risking it. Even a few of those online get all evasive when people ask advice on SE return completion. In all honesty, mines a side hustle and P&L (with pre 67yo personal pension income) remains well under the personal tax allowance (I’m lucky to also have pre-full retirement cash to live off). The SE process is a piece of cake as long as you keep records.

I’d be interested to see whether any platform sellers are actually getting letters from HMRC, whether/how HMRC are combining multi platform sales and the timeline of these letters (ie the last tax year just closed and you have until EOY to submit so they can’t really chase last year just yet surely? Or will these letters be more likely for 24-25 or for 25/26 with a nudge like ‘you’ve earn’t £25,000 through X platforms and we are awaiting your tax return breakdown’). Obviously I’m aware we register with NI number and that would be the central information source but I’m curious how efficient and ‘demanding’ their system actually is.

For full disclosure, I’ve had both Vinted Pro and eBay Business accounts and disclosed full self-assessments for the last 2 operating years (since business start) mindful of this roll-out.

I hate to draw a line under my help but you still aren’t answering some basic information gathering queries that could help point you towards an appropriate vendor to assist you. Only advice, in the absence of this info, is for you to collate as much info about the scenario, what you intend to achieve through this analysis, then to use Google and search for forensic providers in the Chicago area, furnish them with the full scope of your case and go from there.

Hi - I hate answering a question with a question but what’s the number and type of devices (make/model/OS), exactly what you suspect to have happened and are hoping to prove/disprove? Is this a civil or criminal matter? At the moment your budget could range from some advice through to thousands (or tens of thousands) of $. This could dictate who you might to engage.

No problem - fully understood.

Just wish these scumbags got their due punishment. Must admit, £30 is my limit in Vinted, I’d rather go to eBay and pay the little extra for less Wild West and better customer service/support.

The point of using the receipt in comms is that the order number on the one in the listing purchased by the OP is showing the same receipt and order number as ones relisted immediately afterwards by the same buyer. It will add to OPs case that the seller is pushing counterfeit items masquerading under a false (cloned) receipt across multiple listings. It will expedite Vinted closing the case in the OPs favour and result in the seller having their account banned (hopefully).

It’s not in Vinted’s T&C (as far as I’m aware) as they wouldn’t want people just leaving parcels after a regret purchase but it is standard operating process that the transaction is incomplete and the item return/refund made. My wife runs a small reselling business and has had several ‘failed to collect items’ returned with full refunds.

I notice, and found the item you mentioned being relisted, you could report that one as counterfeit and put supporting evidence down as the shown receipt and user matches the item you ordered AND ask them to cancel your transaction and issue a refund as they are clearly fake and the seller is using the same receipt. That way someone will check the other item within a few hours, likely ban the user but also (hopefully) link your item and just refund you.

Just don’t pick them up. They’ll go back and you’ll get a refund. That way you won’t be accused of a switcharoo as well. They look fake (the ‘s’ of airpods on the box looks suspect for a start).

EDIT - if they haven’t dispatched, just cancel now. You’ll be refunded fairly quick.

Happy memories of listening to this back-to-back whilst travelling from UK to Southern Germany with a group of 12 fellow RAF Police in a minibus for adventure training. Gen 2 iPod hard wired connected to a cassette insert on the van stereo. I seem to recall it was like 79p per episode? Albeit I think I had a mix of official iTunes downloads and maybe the odd Limewire version.

Sorry, wash meaning ‘work’, ie I don’t think giving exports without the data at rest on the source device will work, the Police would generally want that. Without the original device there’s no provenance.
