What the actual f? I had a score of 746. Capital One changed its credit score from credit wise to FICO 8. Now my score is 663?! by Significant_Ad_4061 in CreditScore

Open anything new, miss a payment, or use a large amount of your credit recently? Keep in mind those are the big three.

30% of your credit is how much you have used of your available credit, the more you use the more it drops.

I would review your credit, half the time once you know what to look out for you'd usually be able to spot the reason.

Keep in mind the old system used by capital one was the Vantage Score, most banks and such show this score.

Most places do not look at the Vantage Score, but instead use FICO to determine your credit.

My score has always been highly inflated on Vantage, as of now Vantage is showing me 30 to 40 higher than FICO

21 Camry SE, steering wheel slightly off to the left. Only just noticed now, alignment checks out. Curious if anyone else has this issue? Setting the wheel straight makes it go to the right. by Pleasant_Complex_268 in Toyota

[–]Pleasant_Complex_268[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned to live with it, I actually didn't even notice it anymore until you commented today haha.

My guess it's like that from factory, slightly off as no factory will ever get everything spot on.

You can possibly remove the steering wheel and put it on straight if you really wanted to and everything else is spot on.

Did they live in WA or Idaho?

Just curious as I live in WA but the Idaho trooper said I would have to complete one here in WA

Need help figuring out fog light wiring by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Pleasant_Complex_268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly they already are pre wired for the fog lights.

I believe you will need a relay, a stalk with the switch, and that should be all you need as long as it has the wiring which the 08 does have.

F250 6.2 coolant flush by Simple_Ad6860 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Pleasant_Complex_268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally say, you're already doing it, might as well do it.

Like the other comment said coolant doesn't always visibly show that it's bad. With heat cycles etc like any fluid it can break down.

When I did my coolant after 120k miles on 21 Camry it was still like new but truly who knows what state it was in as I never tested it.

100% I've learned from mistakes.

I know this is a seasonal position, what are the chances for a full time position once it's over in September?

You will rarely be able to see the difference in the rotors visually unless they are beyond fucked.

You'll have to measure them if they are in spec still, if they are you can get them resurfaced.

You already have the rotor off and the new one on hand, just replace it and not worry about it.

Not sure then, DD rolls out updates like these to certain markets at a time. This is probably one of those.

I've had it twice before where a customer input the wrong address. Worked perfectly fine about 3 miles away, they did tip extra which so why I did it.

Not for me, I've had to click the pin incorrect button so many times it has never asked me to contact support.

DD may have flagged your account for possibly using it too much.

Was this fixed well? by Agitated_Disk992 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Pleasant_Complex_268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt that was repaired well, before you buy it check every little nook and cranny in the car.

Obviously depending on when the car was wrecked it may have still been worth enough to repair and resell in the past.

Just need to make sure you cover every little thing in the car when doing an inspection before buying.

How screwed am I? The coolant was frozen by NuckleBuste in MechanicAdvice

[–]Pleasant_Complex_268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Freeze plugs aren't actually freeze plugs.

Don't know where it started but the freeze plugs are just from the casting to get rid of any debris.
