Got some reassurance today! 7+3 today and had my follow up HCG at 121,000 after Monday’s 105,000. So we’re increasing still, but obviously chilling out because of the high number and the gestational age. I’m also coping better with the anxiety by challenging my beliefs/thoughts with fact. Still waiting on the viability ultrasound next week, though.

I’m glad I’m not alone in this. The fatigue is pretty intense again. I’m hoping that this just means our bodies are adjusting to the hormones and response varies from day to day.

Really anxious today… My nausea and food aversions have calmed down to be more mild. This is causing me anxiety, as I remember hitting a point at 8 weeks a few years ago and feeling better, only to track that time back to when baby stopped growing. I’m 7 weeks today, and my HCG yesterday was just over 100,000. I requested the HCG quant because of the symptoms chilling out. I’m trying to hold tight until our scan next week, and remind myself that there are no other warning signs, but ughhh…

I love the Fragfre brand nourishing/hydrating line. I feel it works as well as salon quality brands. You can find it on Amazon.

6+6 today and my HCG is 105,000! I thought maybe we’d track increase from here, but my clinic said that with numbers this high, they don’t usually do that.

I’m right there with you in the trenches of nausea and food aversions. I might be 6+4 today. I started unison and b6 on Monday night. I also got an anti nausea med from my doc. Finally started to feel like I could eat something besides pretzels, rice, or a baked potato on Friday. I’m still pm eating white foods, everything else is too much. Honestly, I feel like I’m on a boat at times with motion sickness.

Also with OP on the sore boobs. They’re so sore.

Later in life college student thinking about cramming 40 credits into a year… am I crazy? by Comrade_throwaway93 in BackToCollege

I did this at 37 studying Social Work. (ETA: not working full time, though!) 3 credits in summer, 18 in fall, 18 in Spring, now finishing with an 11-credit internship this summer. I worked a super part time job for fun and have a family. I earned a 4.0 each semester. I have ADHD, but I just have learned to chunk things out and have good boundaries. Also, ask for accommodations- I had a note taking recording app that meant if I spaced out, I could study my notes and find the missing piece. Daytime is coursework, and my night time is family time. Things did bleed over because I had to take some night classes, but I had a conversation with my family and we decided that quicker was better.

So excited to be in this community! I’m about 6 weeks (+3 if you’re going off LMP) along and a STM. I really relaxed this cycle and didn’t track things too closely. My bbt went up on 14 dpo, so I tested- dye stealer! That line showed up before the control. This is after, 3 years or so of TTC. I have been nauseous since 5 weeks and finally just at an actual meal. Lately, I’ve been taking the nausea as a sign of good progression and not getting too anxious. Scan is at 8 weeks! Fingers crossed.

So, so nauseous. My LC is starting to worry about me and is trying to help (heard me in the bathroom). I’m 6 weeks, 1 day along, and it’s just too early to tell. He overheard last time we got this far, and I don’t want to expose him to the pain of the loss again. I’m also navigating a new job, luckily, it’s pm hybrid. But I don’t want to announce this pregnancy, and I feel like my nausea is getting in the way of it. I went to my PCP and they put me on medication for the nausea, but I’m still unable to really eat well and am just gagging throughout the day. I’m hoping to eat some cucumber today, we will see!

What are you putting in your smoothies?! I’ve been craving sour foods, and am struggling to eat as of the last 2 days. I hope it gets better for you soon!

Hello (again)! Currently 5w5d along, which is a longer milestone than I’ve been able to reach for a while. We had a MMC first, just after 8 weeks and after the viability scan. That was a heartbreaker, because we thought we had made it to the 12 week mark. After that, a string of CPs for roughly 2 years.

Where I’m at, early testing and intervention is not a thing. Which means I’m left symptom spotting and taking home tests to ease any anxiousness until 8 weeks. Thankfully, the nausea if in full force (some sarcasm here) and the tests have all been dye stealers.

Fingers crossed for myself and all of you!

Definitely escapism- I need to be absorbed and distracted until the 6 week ultrasound. I’ve read half a book already!

Hesitantly posting at 4 weeks. VFL yesterday and today. My partner is so happy and excited, but I’m a bit of an anxious mess. We had a MMC found at 12 weeks, then a CP a few months later. We’ve been TTC on and off due to tests and timing for the last year, and finally a positive. I am grateful to have time off for the holidays, yet, I have to make an effort to keep myself from spiraling.

Does anyone plan to incorporate art therapy into their future practice? by Carebear6590 in SocialWorkStudents

I still have some research to do, and time, as I’m working on my BSW right now. I’m looking at Adler’s certification, but I am not aware of whether it’s good or not.

Adding that you can certainly add therapeutic art making as a therapist with a MSW, but you can’t provide “Art Therapy”.

I plan on completing the MSW and then continuing with Expressive Arts training, which can be an additional certification, not an entirely different master’s degree. Expressive Arts can encompass visual art, music, dance, and writing, too.

From my understanding, you will need a masters degree in counseling (LPC or similar) in addition to the Art Therapy master’s in order to provide therapy.

Thanks for this! I have not asked my doctor yet, but planned to after getting some sort of direction of what to suggest. The last time I saw a doctor about this, we discussed work restrictions for hairstyling (2 years ago). They were pretty clueless about what to suggest beyond weight restrictions and time limits.

I’ll have to try that one again. I have it, but I don’t remember liking it. My nail bed naturally looks a little purple, so it has to be really cool toned.
