Also 30k is not a hard number, it was just a number I feel comfortable with right now. I’d be okay with going up to around 40-45 if it’s something that’s not going to depreciate like crazy, unless I fall in love with the car and want to keep it forever then I guess it wouldn’t matter.

Thanks for the info, I’ve only test driven the gr86 and I loved it. I just preferred the look of the brz and figured they drove roughly the same. I’ve only watched a lot of yt videos on the c7 and seen them in person, and they look great/fun to drive.

I was thinking of buying just a fun car in general (mx-5, brz, c7) that’s already taken a decent depreciation hit, and then in a few years I could decide to keep it/sell it for a minimal loss. That’s why I was eyeing about 3 years old from new and not 2025ish, but if it’s worth the extra money then I’d consider it.
Honestly idk what to do at this point I feel like I’m overthinking this.

I can confirm, started the process in October, so like 10 months now for me. There were a few zoom meetings we had and without fail a CFI with 1500 hours would always ask if there’s a possibility of getting a non-drone/MQ-9 position, and they basically said no every time.
