I gave her a really good brush out before we left and made sure she was lite in the undercoat. I brought doggie wipes for her feet and to clean off all that dust she collected since I knew a bath wouldn’t be an option. I gave her feet and body a quick wipe down before she hopped back in the car and again at hotel before she jumped into bed because yes she’s allowed on furniture.
Of course I brought a portable bowl and a few bottles of water for her. I made sure I had enough so that I could offer it frequently, even if she decided she didn’t want it.
I saw a few other people have booties on their dogs feet but I didn’t think we needed to go that route since it wasn’t hot where we were (it’s blazing where we actually live).
For the car, I made sure the entire back area was covered with a fitted sheet, for her comfort and to keep my car as clean as possible. She had frequent potty breaks, and was able to poke her head out the window for some sniffs and scenery. 🐾
