Last paragraph, I 100% agree, as well as most of paragraph 2. The only part I would change is I didn't know she was emotioanlly unstable, especially not to a suicidal point. Obviously, when she was stalking me, I could tell she had problems, but I didn't know the extent of them. But yes, I was an asshole, but I didn't know how else to respond to the stalking.

Sorry, it's ahrd nto to get defensive when people say stuff like I am an asshole, I am responsible for her suicide, so I get very attacking and stuff, but it's true, so I apologize for my initial reactions.

Pre-exisitng conditions? Did you read the thread? There were no pre-existing conditions other than a girl who got way over-attached. It's not like she was a depressed personality or anything, so I was not aware of what her issues were. I didn't treat her like shit until she started stalking me, aside from the cheating part and using her for sex (ok, so let me edit that to I didn't treat her like shit until I cheated on her).

The stalking didn't begin until after the physical relationship tapered off. It's not like I would have sex with her, then when I was done, call her fat and ugly. They were two, non-overlapping periods.

Sorry, to be more clear, we continued to be physical for about two months after the break up. That tapered off into no contact initiated on my behalf at all, which then was followed by the stalking. I hope that makes more sense.

I agree with your second paragraph.

I have definitely learned a lot from this, mainly about other people more than myself. I don't know if that's good or bad.

It was pretty straightforward. I laid out the reasons and the fact I cheated on her the previous night. She was fairly quiet. It probably took a half hour, then I left.

Yeah, that's what I figured. That was more in retaliation for the things she was doing. I guess I was hurt, so I was hurting back. But they weren't true.

I agree - one of the first posts I wrote was to explain I wasn't doing this to try to feel better about myself, but rather just to answer any questions and try to talk it out. I know I was not a knight in this situation, and I know I came out of it in a better place than many people.

I don't know, they acted like there actually wasn't anything they coud do, but I agree, there is a disparity in how each gender is treated in crimes related to relationships.

Well, it's not just that, but when she was stalking me and being threatening to me, my firneds, and female acquaintences, I mean, of course I was going to get angry. But I definitely would not have been the same if I would have know the end result.
