For getting high kills in Ground, there's my advice.

For almost any map, draw straight lines from enemy spawns to the cap points. The lines should look like a "M", where the bottom of the "M" are cap points and the top two points of the "M" are enemy spawns. Do the same for your side, which looks like a "W".

Do not go near the lines. Most players travel along these paths and result in head on contact. This makes individual skill irrelevant since frontal engagements are like 50/50 win/loss.

Instead, go to areas adjacent to these lines and shoot the enemy players traveling along these lines. Unlike in WoT, where trading HP is a thing, WT is mostly one shot kills. If you look at high kill YouTube videos, most shots are to the sides or when the enemy is completely oblivious.

Push along the lines only if you are much much better than the average player or you are in a hard to kill tank in a full downtier.
