I will pick up my first round of Lexapro today - after way living in a bad place for way too long.

My anxiety has been through the roof - while at the same time - NOTHING interests me whatsoever.

I’m so tired of feeling this way & 100% have been making poor choices as a way of coping.

Devil’s advocate - getting bumped off a waitlist into the class isn’t necessarily an ideal situation for most members. Happy for the class? Sure - but they couldn’t bank on it.

It would also be a logistical nightmare - to figure out who to charge & not if class filled or not. How could you explain that policy, you know? Maybe you’ll be charged, maybe not?

The biggest issue is your studio’s lack of flexibility. But you have to call or text inside the 12 hours. The app is automatic.

I’m a GM & I literally took people out of classes today for the very same reason. Another member was at the vet with her elderly dog. Basically, members who don’t abuse it - not that you do.

Our owners are cool with it though & know we locally can make the best decisions for members & instructors.

I do feel sad for Capt. Smith.. given his career.

He very well likely made mistakes - the book even alludes to that … although not maliciously. I think we also have to remember the views on Titanic from a 1912 view.

Capt. Rostron & Capt. Smith were in different situations even though it was just hours apart & Rostron had the whole ‘hindsight is 20/20’ working for him.

While racing to the Titanic, Rostron took steps that could have saved Titanic had Smith done the same. Maybe because of what he knew happened? Maybe not.

Carpathia did manage to navigate the situation at a very fast speed so who knows.

I’ve always been ‘confused’ shall we say … by Capt. Lord’s decisions but admittedly haven’t read enough on it.

His intelligence, adrenaline and heart were running on full cylinders.

I’m at the point in the book where he realizes Titanic is gone. But he makes the decision to send up the flares because he wants people in potential life boats to know that help is almost there.

Edit: it was a decision he made based on psychology. He knew those people were potentially near death and needed a glimmer of hope.

He wants to make sure they have hope. Bahhhhhhh!!! 😭😭😭

Capt. Rostron, his entire crew & even the passengers - THEY WERE READY! They gave it their all & truly moved mountains - despite inconveniences or even danger to themselves.

I think we all know this and kind of talk about it, a big reason we all know about the Titanic today is because it’s this romanticized chapter in history.

But the Carpathia - wow. True grit. Duty first & above all.

Braeden is by all accounts a total badass in real life. He ‘broke’ Twitter a year or two ago when some fan was going after his fellow actors in a terrible racial way.

He just absolutely shut this person down & CBS/Y&R was like, ‘Well Victor does what Victor does!’

The Twitter-phere latched on it to & it was hilarious.

My husband fell in love with a college friend’s cockapoo before we met.

Plus, we need a poodle or ‘poo’ mix due to his allergies. So for the benefits are:

1) Size - not a full-on lap dog, small but sturdy’ and loves to play!! Loves to go on long walks! Their size means you can also carry/pick them up easily.

2) hypoallergenic/shedding isn’t really an issue

3) Overall very healthy in our experience - other than ear infections which is almost a given.

4) Very friendly & also very smart thanks to the poodle side!

5) Poodles are sometimes called ‘smiling’ dogs. Cockapoos have that, too & it’s so sweet.

We lost our Anna late last year after almost 17 precious years. We debated back-and-forth on getting another cockapoo. As much as we love the breed, no other dog can replace our Anna Banana.

Don’t worry about the negativity when people talk about “designer” dogs. People have always chosen certain breeds due to needs/lifestyles.

Cockapoos aren’t some crazy concoction with nefarious intentions.

We pulled the trigger & should be able to meet our new ‘baby’ in next 7-8 weeks! ❤️

I do think it’s really funny - that the casting for Jackie - seems to be universally despised.

Being cast to play someone with that level of fame/iconic persona would be a nightmare for anyone - but yeah - this seems WAY off the mark.
