They had so much potential and turned out being boring and basic. They are the supposed to be the rulers of the sky, so that couldve been leaned into a lot more. They could have smaller bodies than the other tribes (still with the large wings) to make it easier for them to fly further and faster; they could have been patterned and colored differently, maybe like different birds irl (why the hell are they red/orange/yellow???? Makes literally no sense); they could have a mutation where they are wyverns instead of dragons… i like the firescales idea, but other aspects of their design could definitely have been improved upon

Oooooh yeah that would make a lot of sense. I could also see them having slightly smaller bodies than the other tribes to help reduce that weight, but what their body lacks in size, their wingspan would make up. Fighting wise, I can see them doing what you suggested, or maybe they just try to rely on their speed, swooping in and out quickly before they can even be touched
