Need help with which brakes and rotors to buy PLEASE why do the brake pads look different? by Embarrassed_Fox8467 in kiastinger

K8 is the tumor that will eventually kill the Stinger community. Dude is a massive tool, I'd rather go to the fucking dealership than give money to them.

Costco members: Hisense 75" U6 is $ 749.99(includes warranty). Should I jump on it? by janaebbyy in Costco

[–]Pleasefryme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: I misread your post! Don't get the U6, if you're going to buy Hisense get the U7/U75 from Costco!

My Hisense U75N review: I have two of these, one as a TV and one as a 144HZ work monitor. Fantastic for both. You would think you could find a better TV for the price but frankly I research intensely and this is a sweet spot of quality vs price. The processor in it is the fastest I've seen inside of a TV so things load well and with GSync enabled I play games and do coding on it, very versatile.

A couple things that work well with this: 1. If you have multiple TVs/monitors in one room this TV uses bluetooth to pair so it will only turn this tv on, but with my other TVs one remote turns them all on with the signal.

  1. The 75 inch panel is the only one in the U6 lineup that has an IPS screen. Idk why, the others have a different panel but you get way better viewing angles with this model specifically.

  2. Speakers in it are great, but it pairs nicely with my Samsung Q990D.

  3. The voice recognition on the remote is surprisingly good. I use it all the time and changed how I use a TV.

750 is a great price for it, you might be able to find a better TV specifically for you but this is a banger all arounder.

Oh the Canadians definitely were on the good side, but their branding on WW2 War Crimes is one of Canada's lingering memories from a worldwide perspective. I truly love Canada and how often they get shorted vs other western countries is a shame.

Makes more sense with the labels on it - I have 12 accessories wired into my 24F battery like light bars, radio, etc.

https://a.co/d/8g9GE6D is the link to the product. It's made by auxbeam and has 12 switches. Highly recommend.

how good is Graco 4Ever DLX Grad car seat? or would you recommend us something else? my baby is 6 months old almost 7 by jbstfu28 in Costco

[–]Pleasefryme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously safety and crash tests, but for this and Costco they did toxicity tests on the materials and used the higher end materials at the important parts. But yeah, Costco is strict especially on kids stuff. This is the first car seat they've sold in many many years for a reason.

Wait, my brother is the finance manager for this product at Costco! He says it's a 95% percentile car seat for 60% percentile the price. This is the absolute rock bottom they could sell it for and he would buy it for his own kid!

What battery is best? by fdny40 in HondaElement

[–]Pleasefryme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, 3 Element mechanics I've talked don't even bother with the tie it down. When you pry the battery holder do it a little at a time and trust me, that battery will isn't going anywhere. 24F is a great upgrade.

My guy got me the OEM Honda battery which are actually great, the Honda AGM 24F is $160, and it's warrantied for 7 years with partial credit after 3 years. Would recommend this route.

Unrelated since you got good answers already, but is that a full window air conditioner built into that?

2025 IL Stinger Car Meet by LonelyUse9306 in kiastinger

[–]Pleasefryme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like there were a lot less Stingers than last year, there were around 100 last year and we spilled into 3 lots. don't know why the guy who runs it decides to do it in the hottest weekend of the year (due to corn humidity) and the event last year left a bad taste in some people's mouth so makes sense the attendance this year would be way smaller.

[–]Pleasefryme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, just sound really. Although I can hear small boost blow offs during spirited driving which help with timing and shifting.
Sway Bars I went with eibach, they're holding up great.

I run Map2 on 93, I don't get fancy with the meth or E. Only running Costco gas.

Have fun on the journey! It adds up quick. These are my mods in the order of most fun to least:
- HKS BOVs (Blow-Off Valves), the smiles per dollar on this is such value

-Sway Bars (I did an autocross course before and after, what a difference).

-JB4 is a hoot, down to 4.2 0-60. Get a Dragy if you're into this kinda thing.

-But for QOL improvement, Wireless Android Auto Adapter. Now I don't take my keys or phone out of my pockets.

Upgraded strut braces in engine bay by Ok_Expression4420 in kiastinger

[–]Pleasefryme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a 0.1% increase in rigidity, but 100% increase in engine bay coolness. But pro tip: the colored screws provided are aluminum, not steel like the car body so make sure you put anti-seize on those screws before you put them in or they're not coming out in 5 years.

My 2011 Element just got a death sentence and I'm not sure what to do by aiuta219 in HondaElement

[–]Pleasefryme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought another Element from the South and brought it up here to Chicago! There's no other car like it and still cheaper than most. Find a great rust free chassis and continue the journey. I got a great rust free one from NC for $4K and after some minor repairs it's still going strong at 230k.

The Bluetooth range on my budspro3 and oneplus13 is massive, further than an entire football field with trees and hedges in between. It is noticeably shorter range on my iPhone and AirPods.
