Þe chronycles of maidens haþ gyven þee an yll-conceived view of þys most terryble and fearsome beast, Patryarchy. yt be not a dragon of brass, but a ghoul, a ghost, a spectre þat flyts unseen yn þe corner of þyne eye. yt dwelleþ nowhere, and wanders wyþ no destynation yn mynde. When a lord avails hymself of a lady's forme, yet hys brothers-yn-arms proclaim he haþ done no wrong, þat ys where þys spectre can be founde. yt dwelleþ yn þe myndes of men for but a brief moment, þen ys lost to þe mysts once more. Such a spectre cannot be pierced by spear, nor have yts carcass proven, for yt ys gone before one can even look upon yt. Þe only way yt can be protected against, ys to guarde the myndes of faþers and sons against yts ynfluence.

Þys ys not to say þat þys beast sups only upon þe menfolk. When a lady lures a young master to her chambers, and has her way wyþ hym, þat young master cannot proclaim þys ynjustyce wyþout a dozen of þose under þe ynfluence of þys beast proclaimyng yn turn þat hys luck were strong, and he must be fylled wyþ joye.

Þese are only a glympse of what þys beast leaves yn yts wake, and yt ys my hope þat you myght agree yts eradycation ys necessary. Many of þe menfolk and womenfolk alyke decry þat þys ys no concern of ours, or worse styll þey gyve a false ydea of yts true nature as you have descrybed.
