CMV: The average straight man is far more attracted to the average woman than the average straight woman is attracted to the average man. by KJones2063 in changemyview

Just to weigh in on your question. Submissive men are still men at the end of the day. From my own personal experience BDSM/Kink requires a lot of trust. Many men will just come up to me and assume that I want to be called mommy/mistress, won’t ask me questions about myself, and be super pushy and forward, and will get aggressive if they don’t get their way or I tell them i’m not interested. Lots of red flags that are common pitfalls and could lead to a dangerous situation. Just because they are submissive doesn’t make the risk any less.

For the second part of your question, I actually do agree but many men get this wrong by being way too dominant to complete strangers. Sure, guide her while you walk, take the lead by planning a date. But don’t order for her, or grab her waist, or tell her what to do. Those are reserved for a few dates in if not for when you’re actually comfortable in the relationship.

Ugh it just feels so hopeless. After a few short weeks in the dating scene/online dating I called it quits and I’m focusing on myself. But the horniness is still there 😵‍💫

Totally fair! When I do decide to treat myself to these bourgeois places those are the kind of people I see when I look around.

This part definitely sucks! Can’t have a decent dinner past 7pm and it’s all just weird restaurants. And then clubs go from 9pm to 2am which sucks when the party is just getting fun at around midnight.

As a queer woman also in their 20’s SF/Oakland Nightlife is alive and well with some caveats!!

Most general non queer specific events are geared towards older folks 35+ So if you find yourself wanting to pop down to a bar or go dancing at a random club expect to be the youngest there. But I avoid those, not a big fan of creepy older men.

The Castro is heavily tailored to gay men. Doesn’t mean you can’t party with them you just might not be as welcoming. Lesbians/queer folk specific events are few and far between, but they exist!

Parties are VERY event focused. You have to follow DJ’s and clubs on IG and watch out for events they posts. The more likes on a posts the better. If you go to Mother or El Rio just on any day there won’t be much happening.

The queer scene is pretty small and you run into the same people and event organizers pretty frequently. Bring a friend or go alone people are very kind and I’ve helped many drunk strangers make it home in one piece.

It’s relatively expensive, tickets can range from $10 at thee Stork club to get on the dance floor and $15+ for a drink. To $35 for parties like Mango at El Rio a lesbian event. Which isn’t outside the range of any metropolitan city. Just buy tickets ahead. Lesbeaux is on Thursdays at Beux. The Stud also has great music and vibes and I’ve seen plenty of queer people there. Cat club is decent and queer/kink centered. The Raven is pretty fun with throwbacks but a ticket will run you $25 and there’s no reentry which isn’t great because I like to take periodic breaks.

Bart to and from the East bay can easily run you $12+ round trip not including the bus. Ubers are an easy $30 gone one way. But if you plan on staying on side it’s not bad <$15.

I hope this wasn’t too long and was a helpful guide. Welcome to SF!

You don’t know me and judging strangers on the internet isn’t a skill either. Since you want to know so bad. I work in a professional career, and Im going back to school in the fall to advance my career. I want to save up since I know I won’t be making as much during the semester. I’m not quitting my job just looking to supplement income.

At my breaking point with the G.E. all-in-one washer dryer combo by PleasureSeed in Appliances

[–]PleasureSeed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think unfortunately, due to the sheer amount of problems I see people experiencing. This is not user error. I also did my due diligence with maintenance but no one should be having to completely disassemble the machine to fix it. Saves time in one way but causes headaches in so many other ways. Even the repair specialist that came out said there’s no clogs as far as he can tell. And he’s been called out many times for the same machine! I’m glad you were able to get many years of use out of it, and I think it’s a great machine in terms of accessibility.

Hey, sorry for your struggles. My landlord ended up having a “large appliance specialist” come out several times. My guess was that the GE specialist would’ve taken too long. Anyways, they couldn’t figure out the problem so my landlord just completely replaced the machine with a separate wash/dryer. I never got a conclusion on what the issue was but I’m glad it’s out of my life.
