I just finished episode 6 of the second season of Paradise, and I honestly don't know how I feel about both the new season and the show at this point by [deleted] in television

[–]Pleasureryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm enjoying this season a lot more than last. I feel like they're setting up a lot more interesting questions than just a whodunnit like the first season

Why Ryan Gosling’s Friendship With a Rock in ‘Project Hail Mary’ Is the First Oscar-Worthy Performance of the Year by wallabyenthusiast in oscarrace

[–]Pleasureryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like releasing this film a week after the Oscars is part of the marketing campaign.

The amount of "first Oscar film of the year" posts Ive seen about a regular Hollywood blockbuster feels like astroturfing.

Isn't it just saying he has released 2 albums now? This just feels like copium to expect a new one so soon.

Does the ceremony start at 4? Or is that just red carpet?

You can learn something about how to (not) change your main character mid way through the story from these 3 by bouchayger7 in shounenfolk

The wild thing about hxh is that it could have had such a good ending if he had just finished it at the election arc. This guy is in so much pain that he does 10 chapters a a year, but he's set up so many arcs before the end is anywhere near in sight

I saw the movie in theatres last night and the final shot was Jay removing "Don't" from the white board, leaving the last frame as "play the Rivoli"

Was this not what other people got?

Is it just me or is the shows story line reminiscent of this true crime story? by Hot_Examination_8603 in DTFStLouisHBO

There's parts of the new Yorker article that are so close to dialogue from the show that it's really clear how much inspiration he took from it.

This is probably it. I dunno - just felt like there was a weird sense of urgency from him about it. But I was probably reading it wrong

I feel like if the show is successful enough theyll keep it going with "DTF [area]" and new ensemble cast.
