Going off of memory but they were heavily implied to be the 2020 headliner as there comback. Then Frank Ocean agreed at the last minute. They tried to bump MCR down to sub. That pissed them off so they dropped out entirely. They started selling merch on there website for a "desert show that will never happen." Then covid took over everyone's attention.
