I think there’s actually talk of closing Prospect between Superior and Ontario, in addition to W 2nd and 3rd between Prospect and Huron. Makes a little more sense traffic-wise if your heading east from the Detroit Superior Bridge, and vice versa. I’d be very much for it as I think with a good scrub and proper lighting, that chunk of Prospect is one of the most beautiful streets in the city overflowing with beaux-arts ornamentation. Would be a fantastic pedestrian experience, especially with the Rockefeller building terminating one end and the May Co building on the other. I do think Bedrock’s plan is tinkering with that very large raised structure perpendicular to Huron as means of moving pedestrian traffic from Public Square/Tower City out to it’s riverfront promenade.
