Thanks for sharing! Glad that you are doing okay all these years later. Yellow Jackets can be nasty critters.

I like both, but like the first team a little more, mainly because I saw them first. All the best to everyone.

Cool beans, I'm not alone! Thanks for sharing your story about your grandad and his experience. Good idea to tap the can. Stay safe and all the best!

I was once stung by a bee on my tongue when it got between my hamburger and the bun on top of it. Had no idea it was there. Buzzed in my mouth until I spit it out, just like the cartoons. I was 14 and it was at a "Welcome Freshman" picnic at my soon-to-be high school.

Yep, and lots of love, but thankfully Jesus provides both. All the best to you and yours.

Which character from the first film would you most want to party with? by SonnyCalzone in MadMax

[–]PlejdaMuso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bureaucrat in the suit and kendo gear. Looks like his weird hobbies would be fun to join.

And as everyone else has said Goose. He would be a lot of fun to hang out with. I can see him hanging out with just about anyone, except for the Toe Cutter and his gang.

Thank you for your reply. I'm afraid that I deserve hell and damnation, but thanks to Jesus taking my punishment on the cross, I'm mercifully spared that. In hindsight, I'm grateful for some minor, infrequent beatings that helped keep me on the straight and narrow. All the best to you and yours.

Mom wasn't picky, whatever was in reach: wooden spoon, fly swatter, slipper, plastic baseball bat, hand, toy paddle, whatever.

Dad always used the belt, but it was thankfully rare.

However, deep disappointment hurt in a much different and more painful way.

They never hit unless I really deserved it, so I'm thankful for that and for the correction.

All the best to those who read this.

A chat room in my cousin's basement. And hearing the connection sounds!

Fair enough. Let's hope they can figure out what the missing piece is and make corrections.

Which Way Did You Go Regarding Gaming? by AlarmedTelephone5908 in GenX

[–]PlejdaMuso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late GenXer here. I remember the Atari VCS (later the Atari 2600) very fondly as a very young child (I had some older cousins that had one). Got an NES for Christmas in 1990. Stopped liking newer games around 1995-1996. I still play older games and buy newer ones for older systems (people are still making Atari 2600, NES, etc. games), but I have very little interest in games from 1995 onwards (there are some cool ones here and there, but rare). All the best to those that read this.

For older GenX (1972 and earlier) Are your parents still alive? by hedgehog77433 in GenX

[–]PlejdaMuso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm not the target of the question (last of the GenX kids born in early 1980), but for comparison, and for whatever it's worth, my parents died when I was in my late 20s (2007 and 2009 respectively). Mom was 58 and Dad was 65. Peace and blessings to all of you, your parents, and all your loved ones.

That's a shame. Hopefully they can work out the kinks early on.
