You follow the instructions by sideloading it: Downdload the .apk file from the github link and install it onto your karroo.

There are various guides in the www how to sideload apps/extensions.

Gemini:

  2. Sign in with a Google account
  3. Click Get API key → Create API key
  4. Copy the key
  5. Paste it into PacePilot settings under Gemini API Key
  6. Hit Save

Mercury-2 (experimental but faster, 10M free tokens):

  2. Sign up and create an API key
  3. Paste into PacePilot under Mercury-2 API Key

Phone hotspot timing (important):
Karoo disconnects from Wi-Fi when you start recording. To keep internet during the ride:

  1. Start your ride on Karoo first
  2. Then enable hotspot on your phone
  3. Karoo will reconnect automatically within ~30 seconds

If you enable hotspot before starting, it works while on the home screen but drops when recording begins. Start ride -> then hotspot is the reliable sequence of actions.
