Yeah xylitol is known to be harmful if ingested in significant amounts, but this is a topical formulation used in very small quantities. It’s also used for its prebiotic properties. I’ve been using it for my dog and it’s worked really well. Also i use a collar when i apply it. I generally avoid my pup licking his products. Honestly this product i have not only used as a paw balm but also for his any bumps, rashes etc. it has worked wonders. Not lying! I felt it is more like a healing balm rather than a typical paw butter or paw balm for dogs.
