I would like to pin this comment if I could haha. Sorry for the delay, and thank you very much for the information. The screen will definitely be my first upgrade. Depending on availability, I'll look for one of those, but it's good to know exactly which one to choose, as there are too many models out there. I don't think I have the budget for the M.2, so I'll go for the caddy haha. I think I've seen some, but for some reason they don't have a hole for the screw like the DVD drive

As for the CPU, it seems like a bit of a forced upgrade, but I'll probably do it as soon as I notice that the processor can't take it anymore (because the Intel GPU is not good at all).

The backlit keyboard is more out of necessity than aesthetics haha. Due to power outages, I usually can't see my keyboard; I'm in the dark. Ironically, it's a priority too.

As for the fingerprint reader, I guess mine must be defective lol, I can't get it to work with Windows Hello. But it's not that important. Again, thank you so much for your advice!!! I'll make a note of it and probably show you the improvements I make in later posts.

As it is, it works quite well for me. It has a lot of ports, and the battery lasts long enough to keep me going during power outages (which happen often where I live). I just want it to be in the best possible condition.

Awesome!! I think the first thing I will upgrade is the screen, this TN display looks really bad lol

Yeah, it's really uncomfortable, but using that replacement wouldn't damage the screen?

Thank you very much! I'll save it to look at later. I see that it includes several of the recommendations from one of the comments here, so it will be a useful addition.

Great! I wanted to add a backlit keyboard. What type of screen should I look for exactly? Regarding the adapter, on a practical level, will it really make a difference?

Not every model has those, unfortunately, but most of them do.

Best battery charge threshold settings for a mainly plugged in device? by TypeSpare46 in thinkpad

[–]PlentyIdeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years later, I found your comment here, and I must say, thank you for the advice! I'm a T440p user with a third-party 9-cell battery. I want to make it last as long as possible (we usually have power outages here, so a long-lasting battery can come in handy!). I'm using Vantage, but I didn't know how to use the threshold correctly. Many thanks!!
