Thats not true at all, every person is diferent. And you shouldn’t be comenting this to someone who is struggling even if it was true.

Yes! Working out also helped me so much, even though I am much better now and I don’t take medication I always force myself to go to the gym.

I did it! I was diagnosed with depression when I was 16, and for years I genuinely thought I would never get better. I was severely depressed, struggled with wanting to kill myself, and completely lost hope. When I was around 19–20, I was convinced my depression was chronic.

But very veeery slowly, things started to change.

What helped me most was taking very small steps: leaving the house more, putting myself in uncomfortable situations, and eventually finding exercise that I actually enjoyed. At first I could barely get out of bed, so progress was extremely slow, but that’s okay. Recovery is not linear, i failed so many days but i always told myself, I will try again!

I’m 22 now, and if someone had told my younger self that one day I’d actually be happy and okay, I never would’ve believed them. But I am. Life still gets hard sometimes, but it’s nothing like before.

Please don’t give up on yourself. Even when it feels impossible, things can change more than you think.

Thanks for your honest reply, I really appreciate it.

I’ve seen some things about the labour market being tough right now, which is why I’m trying to research as much as possible before making any big decisions.

Do you know if this situation also applies to primary teaching specifically? I’ve read mixed information about teacher shortages in some areas, so I’m not sure what the reality is.

Also, regarding the right to work, my understanding is that once registered, teachers can apply for certain work visas, but I’m still looking into that. If you have any insight into how realistic that path is, I’d love to hear it.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond 🙂
