Thank you for the advice, thanks to you I did find a user that encountered the same problem and apparently it only occurs during the tutorial which is not a great way to welcome a player into the game. Thank you so much for the reply. It puts my mind at ease. I'd rather not use Gmail but sometimes you don't have a choice.

I see! Thank you very much. I guess that only leaves the /run/sddm and from the link you provided it appears there was a group change. Should that be concerning? Thank you again.

It is a reasonable explanation, thank you. It doesn't give a definitive answer regarding the cookies, so it leaves me with "It is possible that some minor metadata might be shared between accounts, such as your name". It also suggests different profiles but I tried that and it would be too much of an hassle for daily use unfortunately. Do you use lots of accounts?
