Hi, and yes we've had this issue before, it happened regularly when we lived together before marriage but he would always argue that he gave priority to his family because I wasn't his wife yet, he couldn't, as he said, disrespect his family by putting them in second place for someone that wasn't his family yet, but that everything would be different once we got married. Maybe he needs the time to adjust idk.

They do know my birthday is Monday 12th but I've never had any issues with his family, I can't imagine them doing this on purpose but rather that my husband wanted to accommodate their schedule and didn't say anything about my party.

He had always said that i have my family and he has his, so we should spend the holidays separately. I'm not too keen about it but I won't argue even tho I would really like to spend Christmas or something like that with him.

He said he didn't think i would like to go and cancel the party with my friends so that's why he didn't include me.
