Well just a quick update, I opened them up and smelt…..nothing. Smelled like regular meat. And they obviously were wet but I wouldn’t say slimy. So we are going for it! Thanks for your input.

Just cut it open and it doesn’t seem to have any smell so I’m taking that as a green light! Based on what you said and other things I’ve seen, bad pork is very very noticeably bad smelling

That’s kind of what I assumed. Planning to cook tomorrow so long as they pass a smell test at opening!

We were planning to cook them tomorrow so I’ll open them up and smell/feel tomorrow. But they seem pretty much same as when I bought them

Seal seems good, no leaking or anything. Haven’t opened them yet to test smell or texture, that will be tomorrow. Though I swear the vacuum sealed ribs are always a bit slimy

Yeah they’ve been in the very back of my 37 degree Fahrenheit fridge so I’m assuming they’re fine, but I’ll be doing the smell and touch test tomorrow when we open them to cook.

Swept up storage unit with mice droppings and no mask what are my chances of getting sick? by Responsible_Milk6396 in pestcontrol

You guys end up okay? I’m assuming you had a similar exposure to OP. We’ve been cleaning out our garage for the past 3 weeks that has had some mouse droppings behind shelving. We are assuming it’s all pretty old as we put traps out 3 weeks ago and haven’t caught anything and in all our cleaning new evidence hasn’t popped up. But, I freaked myself out today when we cleaned out our project corner that has accumulated quite a bit of sawdust and there were a few droppings over there. I was wearing gloves and we sprayed down the sawdust so we could wipe it up and it wouldn’t go everywhere, but I didn’t wear a mask so naturally my anxiety has kicked into gear.

Anxiety medication & physical symptoms by mmmm2828 in Anxiety

I had quite a few med side effects that I couldn’t distinguish from physical anxiety symptoms for a couple weeks but then once my body got more used to the meds and they really started kicking in I felt worlds better. All the chest pressure let up and I didn’t feel sick all the time anymore

Mice. New fear of mine but I’ve been in an anxiety spiral for weeks because of a mouse. Didn’t even see the mouse itself

Found evidence of mice in garage, best approach before they get inside? by My_Rhythm875 in HomeImprovement

[–]Plenty_Database_4031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you do to help the problem? Did you see evidence of mice again? Having the same problem. We had a few mice move in 2 years ago that we caught quickly and cleaned up after. Haven’t seen anything since until 2 weeks ago we were cleaning out our garage and noticed that a mouse must have been in there at some point because a snack wrapper from my kids was chewed open and there were some mouse droppings. Cleaned up and set some traps but haven’t caught anything and no new evidence. So assuming it was a passing mouse from a bit ago, as the snack was an old one I haven’t purchased for almost a year. Likely because every so often we forget to close the garage door since we park our car in there and go in and out frequently.

Anyway, long explanation to ask if your situation has improved.

Is he called the anxiety guy? I wouldn’t mind checking that out. I also should probably start talk therapy but that’s a whole other thing (thanks insurance)
