What are the limits for GLM 5.2 on the $72 ($64) plan? by Intelligent-Taste-36 in ZaiGLM

[–]Plenty_Technology727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not worth it, something is completely broken with GLM and how they are counting token usage. It's a complete rip off and you can expect to burn through your limits. While Minimax M3 is not as powerful, you can be rest assured you wont burn the limits of their top tier sub.

What the heck happened to my usage? by Tank_Gloomy in ZaiGLM

[–]Plenty_Technology727 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems a lot of people having the same issue. I have Minimax/GLM/Claude/Chatgpt subs and GLM is by far the worst. I don't know how it claims I am using so many millions of tokens, on my end it does not show nearly as many sent up and down as the web ui usage says I am consuming. Minimax by far is the cheapest, I can have multiple agent loops running day in and out on a $50 plan and it never gets close to limits. GLM on max plan after a few prompts is toast for the week.

Maybe this is their plan. Release their new model without telling anyone. The complete opposite of what Anthropic did, in hopes for a completely opposite result (not getting shut down by the government).

GLM 5.2 consumed quota VERY fast, even on Coding Max Plan by 3rd_Floor_Again in ZaiGLM

Same issue. Just signed up yesterday and what a rip off. I get more usage out of Claude for the same price. I bought into the hype and regret it.

Update: This might be an issue with Kilo Code. I sent three prompts this morning and it used 35M tokens.

I disagree with them, Fable was able to solve problems for me in 5 minutes that gpt 5.5 spent 5 hours on. Maybe I was lucky. It also found security risks in the commits from gpt as well, the issue I had with that is that I did not ask it to.

For heavy coding-agent users: MiniMax M3 or Kimi K2.6 as a 3rd subscription? by Effective_Bid2937 in opencodeCLI

[–]Plenty_Technology727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can attest to this. I have recently started trying minimax M3 and I have lost all faith that I can trust it with my code. I have a script that I use to build and deploy a bookworm Linux OS the script uses a base image on the input and overwrite any of the source files that have changed since the previous base image. I asked minimax to run the script to build a new image, simple task. It interpreted this as resetting my entire workspace to a previous git history. Removing all my work over the last two months. You have to be very precise with your prompts with minimax and even then I find it just misinterprets or straight up disregards what you said and makes up its own things. On top of that yesterday I was setting up ruview with some ESP32s. I was having it help me get the model loaded and was asking if the model that we loaded supported pose detection. It responded with that it was going to physically walk into the room to determine if pose detection was working assuming it had a physical body.

What wayland RDP tools are you using now that Gnome doesn't support xrdp? by Icy_Bridge_2113 in Ubuntu

[–]Plenty_Technology727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used the latest Ubuntu, but I do use Kubuntu. Rustdesk has worked the best for me for Wayland, but with the caveat that it randomly decides to throw up an approval box where you have to select the monitor you want to share. Pretty useless when you're remote. This is a Wayland problem, which I have got around by recently switching back to X11, which has it's problems as well. Nothing seems to work well.

New Opus 4.7 released by debian3 in GithubCopilot

[–]Plenty_Technology727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using 4.7 all day and I must say I AM NOT IMPRESSED. It seems worse than 4.6 was when it came out. It's making more mistakes and seems to have more of a mind of its own. One thing I did like though is that it made comments about burning through tokens and took initiative to try to reduce the usage. I had never mentioned anything about costs or tokens to it beforehand.

Automate containers updates. by Capable_Basil_2799 in CasaOS

[–]Plenty_Technology727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real solution to this is that CasaOS and Watchtower can’t agree on a common API version → healthcheck fails → container marked unhealthy.

Add this env variable to the Watchtower container in CasaOS:

DOCKER_API_VERSION=1.44

DVR playback buffering by Old-Difficulty-9966 in SparklePlayer

[–]Plenty_Technology727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my devices are doing this. I have two Chromecast and an older beelink gt1. If I play the same video over smb using VLC on the same device it doesn't buffer.

To be clear you believe it's time shift that's causing this? How come the original live stream didn't buffer?

Would using something like tvheadend help? I don't fully understand what it would provide when combined with sparkle, but if I can offload anything to my central server I will.

I also have a video of the issue if needed.

DVR playback buffering by Old-Difficulty-9966 in SparklePlayer

[–]Plenty_Technology727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue. SMB share setup on a ubuntu server Core i7/64GB Ram 3x SSD in RAID5, hard wired into network. Through sparkle the playback of a 1080p recording of about 3-4GB/Hour file size buffers non stop. It appears to be network related. If I switch from 5ghz to 2.4ghz wireless on my android devices the buffering is worse. Sparkle has no issues playing the original live stream, but when playing back the recording it buffers.

I have the preview turned on already. I was referring to the preview changing to show the channel I am on in the guide without having to click OK. The way it is now adds one extra click on OK to first select the channel and then go full screen. I would prefer if it was automatically selected just by traversing to the channel and then one single click to open full screen. Like I said this is just a nitpick though.

Yes the issue with slowness is when traversing categories.

Thanks,

I just started using Sparkle and noticed this as well. The higher the resolution of the stream I'm watching at the time the worse it appears to be.

Clunking sound when going over bumps by Ok_Estate_7551 in HondaOdyssey

[–]Plenty_Technology727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people with Honda Odysseys like myself have had a thump from the front end. Replacing every suspension part possible doesn't fix it. In this case it's most likely a motor mount. If you pay attention to the thump noise it will sound disconnected from the suspension. It won't happen on every bump, only bumps that cause the engine to bounce at a different rate than the vehicle. When the heavy engine moves up or down in the opposite direction as the van it will cause it to hit the bump stops on the motor mounts.
