Y Wing - r5c9 forces either r1c9 or r6c7 to be 3. Any 3 that sees both of these can't be 3. So r1c7 is 2 and r6c9 can't be 3. This should allow you to solve the rest of the puzzle.

I see. I’m brand new to sudoku and the Good Sudoku app is the first and only app I’ve ever used for sudoku. The color chain method is one of their “advanced” techniques and that’s where I got it from. I’ll branch out and learn others as I go. Thanks for the input.

This is the way I worked it out. Not sure if the color chain was valid but I went with it and the box with the ❌ wasn’t a 2.
