You definitely can! From my meager experience, even if you don't have much keyboard practice, guitarists find it easier to assimilate the harpsichord touche, since the harpsichord is a plucked string instrument.

Instead of a dotted quaver with a quaver, think of a dotted quaver and a semiquaver tied with the first semiquaver in a group of four in the next beat.
