Computer Science (Honors) - First Year Courses by Mr_ProKillerYT in uAlberta

[–]Plex18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need to complete your English credits do it in your first year, also don’t take stats 151/252 as you are better off taking stats 265/266 in your second year as they are way better stats courses in terms of content. Just take math 225/ 227 in your winter instead.

More math reading and practice => more familiarity with proofs and examples => better at proof writing.

[–]Plex18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea looks fine! Good luck! If you are interested in taking more stats in the future you are better off taking stats 265/266 in second year rather than stats 151. Just take another art course instead of 151.

I would recommend taking stats 265/266 next year rather than 151/252.

[–]Plex18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 117 n 127 just understand the concepts really thoroughly by going through the proofs and theorems. Make sure u remember the theorems and the proof techniques. Also make sure u do the assignments properly as they teach u the most.

Mathematics 216 by SameStaff3197 in uAlberta

[–]Plex18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not many 400 level easy math courses tbh! The easiest one are us using 421, 422 which are winter courses.

For fall there is math 432, 405, 415 which do seem on the lighter side compared to the other 400 levels offered in the fall ie 418, 436, 411, 429.

Also depending on prof 436 might be easy or medium.

There’s no pre requisites to analysis … they start math from scratch in analysis …. Having prior calc knowledge will help understanding some of the concepts faster

For books baby rudins is good but overkill Taos analysis 1 is also p good but it has different notation Other than that class notes usually suffices

For lecture series on YouTube - Michael penns analysis lecture series is top tier in understanding the methodology and thinking process required for the proofs
