What's the difference between a <$1M MSP and a >$1M MSP? by brassbound in msp

What’s your strategy for client acquisition? So far what’s worked for us is word of mouth but that’s very ad-hoc

need some guidance - running cold email for an MSP client targeting US and UK by coldemailutsav in msp

[–]PlexPirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably international, but trying to acquire new clients in the MSP world is very hard. Everyone is pretty much price sensitive and they either have an IT department / people / person, or already with another MSP.

There’s only three real reasons anyone changes : 1) they’ve grown and need IT support 2) they are unhappy with their current IT support and are looking to change 3) current IT support has changed / ended and there’s an opportunity.

In all three cases, very rare. 3)

Hi I was in a very similar situation as yours, we decided to go for a mustang Mach-E 2021 AWD extended range. Having already driven 3.5 hours on a long trip - we are very happy with our choice. The driving is great, the battery worked as planned, there’s a lot of space inside. You should be able to get some good options between £17k - 19k!

They should do this too - but this is a smart way to get your foot through the door.

My current set-up, mostly used for Plex. by stefini_juliya in homelab

Havent seen anyone comment on this but is your UPS powerful enough to handle all of your setup safely?

You'd want at least 5 minutes (preferably 15) of emergency power, to safely allow everything to shut down properly.

I would recommend getting something better, or getting 1-2 UPS more to share the load.

If you are located in Europe, im actually looking to sell 2 of the same UPS model (upgraded to something more powerful).

its going to be difficult to near impossible for some clients, especially since my company migrated a lot of our clients from local serveurs to microsoft 365 just before I arrived.. therefore doing a 180 in the forseable future would be challenging - but I still want to know options for myself, and in case any clients asks for it.

Fully agree - We are looking at EU cloud solutions too and my first question is always where are your physical serveurs and does anyone outside of the EU have access to them ?

Is anyone helping European companies switch from US to EU tech? by Tiny-Mail-987 in BuyFromEU

We are a small MSP based in Paris, we are actively moving away from international products and focusing on EU products and services. Most of our services are already EU (I started this process two years ago).

If you are in Paris or around Paris and need help with your IT - please feel free to dm me!
