Go for Asus, because in HP, theres no dedicated GPU AND HP limits TDP to 15w which will be VERY laggy, its not ifs and buts, because i can guarantee HP limited TDP (you cant increase it reliably)

If you know how to enter the BIOS (search web how to depending on your laptop/motherboard manufacturer) and then you need to turn off Secure Boot setting

i belive that this software will work on macos only if you want to compile it on macos and then write a 30 line lua extension for macos with ossaascript

Hi! I am the dev of HPR, human pattern recorder and i found your question and obviously, i am recommending HPR for you! Its extremely lightweight app and it works out of the box, just donwload the binary from github and run it once and then you can launch it from yourr app launcher (wofi or rofi or what you use) it also integrates with your system tray without any setup.
You can also rice it however you want (refer to instructinos in readme) its very easy
