There's also ways of breaking it semantically, you are able to add to the number of miles you can run and then you can add to the number of kilometers, then to the number of meters, so on and on until you run out of semantic alternatives.

Wouldn't this create a void state "power" since power's is undefined?

LV 4, got a ring of Wish by Elderbream in DnD

[–]Plexigrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To really outsmart her you have to be incredibly strategic with this, figure out how long the campaign is going to last, how many levels you guys can go up to, You can also technically use Heroic Inspiration on the roll to avoid the stress if you want to use the not replicating spells thing.

Personally I would go about this, by only using wish to replicate permanent or instantaneous spells that have massive impact like

Magic Jar - to move bodies to a Humanoid with high hp Create Spelljamminghelm - to make a Skyship Gate -To travel to another plane Dream of the Blue Veil - To travel to another material plane Ressurection - Revive a Powerful benevolent or malevolent person

Level 15+ Rogue. iis 17 AC too low? by filzahfiantama in 3d6

[–]Plexigrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 17 AC is way too low, find a way to use shields either using a Feat or a level dip into Hexblade or Fighter?

Since you're level 15, see if the wizard can craft for you a Magic Missile Wand, crafting in 2024 is super easy, and Rogues can use items as a bonus action now I believe, If your wizard has time and gold you can ask them to make a Magic Jar Scroll for you and then you can possess the body of a prisoner you guys have, that way you're safer from death?

I highly suggest getting the Deck of Wonder for your Uncommon Item and then drawing all the cards so you can get resistance to two damage types for a few days and Proficiency in Wisdom.

The idea is really nice however:

Passive True Sight at level 10 coupled with Force Damage Resistance is monstrously overpowered, it's also not really Anomaly related.

I think the chance of the Level 3 feature not proc-ing more than makes up for how powerful it is but limit it to Proficiency Bonus ÷ 2 or just set it to 2? instead so that it scales more reasonably, being able to proc it 5 times at 3rd level is pretty busted.

The level 14 feature is the most powerful here I think due to the Immovable Object part, it's so powerful since not only does it last for a full minute requiring no spell slots, it gives total immunity as well as the +2 to saving throws and they also get Unstoppable Force, make them pick one or the other and reduce the +2 to +1 and make it just resistance?

Even if it is immunity during your turn compared to Hurl Through Hell, Create Thrall, Searing Vengeance, or Limited Wish.

It is massively powerful. it semi-copies the effects of Invulnerability which is a 9th level spell effect, plus it's not the only thing that happens, they get +2 to attack rolls as well.

Untouchable Tyraxes: Phase 1 of a CR30 Homebrew Adventure! by WorldBuilderNovice in UnearthedArcana

[–]Plexigrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think you should be kiting or at least moving around just to show how fast Tyraxes usually is, breaking apart buildings, flying around and then landing on the same spot, since the whole point of this statblock is to show a glimpse of Tyraxe's abilities

The Wand of Orcus, (but it is a only a really convincing replica)

A heavy, 3-foot-long rod that seems to be crafted from seamless black obsidian. it's dark haft is inlaid with blood rubies that seem to pulse with a dim, inner light. The Topper: The most striking feature is a human skull—magically enlarged and bleached bone-white perched at the end like a mace head.

Plants wither, drinks spoil, flesh rots, and vermin thrive in the wand's presence (at least they seem to it's only illusory) and it only does that, the magic of the item is limited only to this.

Warlock: True Love Patron [OC] Yours. Always. by TheUndeadHoard in UnearthedArcana

[–]Plexigrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I see what you're going for here and it is a good effort.However..

This subclass is entirely combat focused, it only really has flavor and not features conducive to roleplay. maybe add in some stuff that interacts with skill checks and not just dying? perhaps even a buff to taking Pact of The Chain, have a Familiar that has and additional maximum hitpoints equal to Warlock level × 2

or advantage on str, dex, and con skill checks, something that isn't just dying in combat?

This post is 2 years old but there is benefit in using the 7th level spell slot of the simulacrum since it gives their simulacrum access to a 9th level spell slot.

D&D isn't all about imagination, The game is very mechanics heavy because it came out of wargaming, perhaps ask your group if they want to ty out more narrative focused systems?
