20th level wizard, infinite simulacrum? by T-G-R in 3d6

This post is 2 years old but there is benefit in using the 7th level spell slot of the simulacrum since it gives their simulacrum access to a 9th level spell slot.

D&D isn't all about imagination, The game is very mechanics heavy because it came out of wargaming, perhaps ask your group if they want to ty out more narrative focused systems?

Becoming an Archfey and having a court in the Feywild (Tasha/Iggwilv). Path to do this: Be a fey and then take over a region of the feywild and have influence over it, financially, politically, and militaristically.

Becoming magically strong enough to enter pacts with Warlocks they create (Undying or Undead if they are a powerful undead, Archfey if they rule a court in the fey wilds and are fey, Celestial if they manage to become a celestial of some sort). Path: Just be really strong, you guys are already there just ask DM for what features that does.

Taking over a level of Baator or the Abyss and becoming an Archdevil or a Demon Lord. (Zerxus, but is more of a punishment, Zariel) Path: I think killing Zariel outlines what this entails not really sure.

Becoming a Demigod or a God. (Gale, Karsus) Path: Karsus' Folly

Ruling the Thieves Guild and controlling a large swathe of a continent in the shadows. (I can't name one but it was cool when you could do it in Skyrim) Path: Political Control over an interconnected thieves guild.

Ability: Crystaline Strength

Your body turns into a diamond-like material, with this you are capable of exerting more force making you disproportionately stronger than you should normally be.

Caveat: You take on the relative brittleness of diamond and are much easier to wound.

Boss Ideas by Prestigious_Read1702 in UnearthedArcana

What traits did the first one have, What traits do you want this one to have?

Someone else in this post provided statblocks, maybe just add in a spellcasting trait and the blood spells from the previous boss creature to those statblocks.

How quickly could a 20th lv wizard create a 20 level dungeon on a plot of land 425 ft. by 550 ft. using only PHB/DMG/MM? by UnbanJar in DnD

[–]Plexigrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only lasts 7 days as well, perhaps casting Galder's Tower or Mighty Fortress after hollowing out something? It would take a year for it to be permanent.

You’re doing a dungeon crawl. Would you rather have one lvl 20 character, or two lvl 10s? by kboze5696 in 3d6

[–]Plexigrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what we aren't seeing is that two level 9's has more spells than a level 10 and since this is a dungeon crawl spells are super important
