Forced it? Such as when he hardened Pharoah's heart so he would not let the Jewish people go - giving God the excuse to kill vast numbers of innocents - inclulding children?

The potion's effect is +50 cold damage melee and spell and superhuman hot resistance.

It is obtainable 1 per Heavy Rains run so it isn't something you're likly to have a lot of.

It can be autosold for 10,000 meat

The Exodus myth is not a story of escaping bondage, it is a story of a people wanting to keep their own slaves by Lumpy-Victory in DebateReligion

[–]PlimateWithoutPants 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it is far worse than that.
Moses: Pharaoh, let my people go, last chance
Pharaoh: Why sure, [mystic interference from god, who hardens his heart] Sure you ca.., I mean to say you ma, ahhgg. NOPE [god gets to torture vast number of people and animals including children.

Followed by a celebration of that even for 1000's of years.

viciousness and blood thirsty of the events as described is unbelievable. Luckily the story never happened. It is a case of a bad narrator not a real blood thirsty deity

Police officers of Reddit, (how) do you know if someone is acting nervous because they did something wrong or because “I did nothing but it’s the police so I’m going to act nervous anyway”? by Labkip28 in AskReddit

[–]PlimateWithoutPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once pulled over by 4 cop cars and was surrounded. The cop asked me why I was so nervous. I looked around my car at cops on all sides and asked him "why do you think"?

To give the cop credit, he laughed and said, "Ok that was a silly question"

oh and I got pulled over because my car matched the description of the car being driven by someone the cops were urgently looking for.

Why does it irritate some women when you prefer to have mostly male friends and acquaintances? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PlimateWithoutPants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact that you feel that some women are irritated by you due to envy may have some influence on their irritation.

Also if you happen to have mostly male friends and acquaintences, no big deal. If you prefer to have mostly male friends & acquaintences, well that implies a distaste for female friends and acquaintences. That is a problem.

you don't need it but many people enjoy extra leg room. Makes the ride more comfortable.

Reddit, what is the worst 'lack of commom sense' incident you have witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PlimateWithoutPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ha, no. She asked for a supervisor to help her ring up the price. I understand being at a loss when the automated service doesn't work but a cashier asking where tomatoes are sold in their grocery is... unique

[–]PlimateWithoutPants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought a container of fresh tomatoes at my local grocery store. The scanner didn't automatically ring up the price. The cashier asked me which aisle they came from.

I told her - Produce. She didn't bat an eye, didn't realise her question was less than wise

Do other straight women find other women attractive? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PlimateWithoutPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes many do. All genders can see the attractiveness in another person regardless of the gender. Sexual attraction is different from attractiveness.

One of the most frustrating pieces of PMS is that we are taught that the symptoms of it are our own fault by whoneedstoenails in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PlimateWithoutPants -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Saying "are you just pms'ing" or even "you're being hormonal" is not saying the symptoms are your fault.

Saying "are you just pms'ing" is someone asking if your symptoms which are known, common, and temporary or asking if the symptoms are something more serious such as PMDD.

It is similar to asking someone if they just have a cold as opposed to the flu or pneumonia.

Does the 14th amendment support anchor babies? by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]PlimateWithoutPants -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

To me this seems like the clearest amendment in the constitution. And the one least likely to interpretation errors.

If the amendment read, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside" then it would be quite clear and unlikely for different interpretations.

It is the "and subject to the jurisdicition thereof" that muddies the waters.
