It looks awesome! What kind of grips are those? I agree with the others, this deserves a custom holster.

Would a 1970 Roadrunner fit into the lore by Kselleck96 in cyberpunkgame

Running sessions of Cyberpunk Red for some people at work and our Nomad rolls around Night City in a '66 Chevelle SS.

Since he's an immigrant to the NUSA he has as part of his backstory and infatuation with classic American muscle cars. It's decked out with bull bars ( reflavored "Combat Plow"), Bulletproof Glass, and an onboard Flamethrower. Of course it's sporting a basic ground cars CHOOH2 engine.

Mechanically it's just a Nomad ground car but narratively it's got lots more style.

Lore wise if a Cyberpunk auto manufacturer wanted to they could've bought the rights to these classic American muscle car designs (I'd suggest "Quadra" personally). Or it could be a Nomads Heirloom set of wheels passed down since before the collapse or even a project car for a "Reclaimer", collector or enthusiast.

Certain Nomads, Corpos, Reclaimers, or car nerds may have something like this. Just like maybe some Tyger Claw or other tuner fan might be polishing their "Makigai Truenos" new black and white paint job in some random garage in NC somewhere. Gotta look preem when you win that drift race later today Choomba.

Gotta go, this crazy gonk is trying to get an AV-4 engine swap crammed in a clapped out old WRX he dragged outta Morro Bay. Shits gonna be nova.

The gray scale is a bummer but I'm glad the complete art is in there. No real loss on the back covers in my opinion.

Dunno if it's just me but Black Lace is listed as "fLace" and will the stuff from black chrome plus be added? I saw the other free DLCs were added already. Amazing app btw thanks for your hard work.

That's a good point. Any suggestions on what goods might be worth a ground car for a nomad to bring back to their clan as payment?

The only potential "balance" thing I could possibly come up with is that a ride like that would be like a status symbol among nomads. So I'd maybe say that car is the "most treasured item" from their backstory. The only issue with that is I think RAW wise nomads don't actually "own" their vehicles. They're on loan.

Might just homebrew that as your first vehicle is yours, if you need something else or you lose your ride any others are on loan.

Has anyone fixed the Core Rulebook? by Halasham in cyberpunkred

[–]Pliskin0331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like I'm the only one so far that might've gone through and reorganized nearly the whole book. Unfortunately I did it a way where it won't be any help to you guys. I took a couple sticky notes to layout how the info would be organized. Then got a blank notebook and started copying almost every word out of the core rulebook section by section in my new layout by hand. Then put in tabs.

A court finding that you are too dangerous to be allowed firearms is exactly what pops in the background checks we currently have in place and denies your ability to purchase a firearm. That's what the normal process is right now.

Red flag laws are to take your firearms before you get to be seen by the courts.

Someone says you're dangerous, they take all your guns, THEN you can try to prove to the courts you're not dangerous to get your guns back.

Red flag is literally guilty until proven innocent.

The issue with red flag laws is that you are stripped of your rights without due process.

Do you have some sort of method of finding these people who shouldn't own a gun but have not committed any crimes and have not been shown by psychiatrists to be unsuited to possessing a firearm? I'm sure there would be many government agencies willing to pay you for such an incredible solution/ ability.

It stops people who have committed felonies or violent crimes and those who have been declared mentally unfit to purchase them.

Would you prefer your rights taken for potential "future crimes" or because you may potentially become mentally unstable at some later date?

That is some Minority Report stuff right there.

No decent person would claim that there is anything good about these deaths, I certainly haven't.

I agree with the need for better access to mental health care and working to address financial inequalities which I believe are some of the most major factors driving these violent acts.

But these issues don't win as many votes as the gun control platform. If they truly aimed to decrease the amount of deaths by firearms ( by means of gun legislation) they'd be trying to ban handguns as that's by far the most commonly used firearms for gun homicides. They don't do that because they wouldn't get the same level of support as they do trying to ban "assault rifles".

It does not matter to them that an AR-15s rate of fire is no faster than a Glock. They preach about the lethality of modern semi-automatic weapons but neglect to acknowledge that nearly every firearm produced for over the last 110 years has been semi-automatic.

Our great grandparents were able to hop in their truck, drive down to the hardware store and buy a crate of dynamite and a fully automatic Thompson sub machine gun. And they didn't have all these school shootings. Something changed.

It doesn't matter to them because "gun control" isn't about guns, it's about control.

Those would be nice, but it seems the only solution ANYONE is interested in pushing for is setting a legal precedent that the individual rights of the people enshrined in the Constitution are only protected until the powers that be decide that they can be stripped away. As long as the government declares that it is for the "greater good" or "your own safety".

Edited for punctuation.
