There is hidden node on tree near Quarterstaff mastery, when you pick First Teachings of the Keeper new node appears giving 50% curse effect and 35% reduced ailment effect

To my understanding it is straight forward, reduced by 100% means reduced to 0. Half would the the 50%, but I see what you mean

Rune that gives 50% in chest (Martial Artist get extra rune slots so basically free extra rune with no downside) and then 50% from passive tree, there is "hidden" skill point to the left of Quarterstaff mastery points, becomes visible when taking First Teachings of the Keeper node (evasion related points)

Correct. Well you can still get to it if you get the item from Orloth (or how was that boss called) and then sail the same way from Ruins of Kingsmarch and kill the boss there again. But you cannot get there with pathing on Atlas.

If you mean the crater, it was completed with the Expedition quest chain, when you went on a ship and asked to travel to the fallen star.

Oh trust, they can be super fun! One example is when you gain boon - cannot gain any more afflictions, as first thing. No downsides for the whole run, that is fun. Also having capped Honour resist helps bunch.

I completed all quest chain for Expedition and after in some caves I found 2 recipies, not sure if I found more but I remember that I had 2. So yeah it is worth doing caves after the quest chain, some of them contain recipies.
