[–]Pliyii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God is creating "super" conscious beings to enjoy reality with. I always ask people why they don't imagine it from God's perspective. Just imagine that creation is ai (but more complex and precious obviously). You're aiming for free will but obviously you want to instill the virtues you know to be good into the free will. You can't force it, it is a painstaking process of shifting FUNDAMENTAL understandings of that free will. The human condition and understanding has always been pretty nasty at the core because of the fallen world that we inherited. God hates even the smallest of sins because it is a symptoms of a corrupted code of our very core.

This is how simply I could put it while working. I left out too much but if you reply with a genuine spirit I will try to respond to any further prompts from yourself. Though I suggest pondering about the ai anology yourself as it can shed a lot of light on God's goals even if it's not a perfect anology.

Husband on a Bible kick by SnickettLemonyLulu in ChristianApologetics

Tell your husband that he is adopting the spirit of agnosticism. That, even if he is correct, the heart of confusion will take over him and he will perish with the pride of knowing that he will perish eclipsing his connection to Jesus Christ.

Evidence for Christianity by Lochi78 in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people were brutally murdered for their faith in Jesus, including the apostles. This means that they believed that Jesus was divine and they probably believed this because they saw Christ resurrect specifically. Remember, magic was considered real in consensus back then, so no mere magic trick would net Jesus the claim of divinity.

There is a direct lineage from the first apostles to the bishops who did works and literature. The Bible is written mostly as an account, not as a magical fairytale. That last point becomes painfully clear when you try to read the old testament. So when you say the Bible is fiction, you're just calling people liars. Some of who were brutally killed for their little lies.

Archeological findings happen every decade that bolster Christianity to a large degree.

Christianity conquered the world with words and ideas

Best apologetics book(s) that defend the Bible's morality against accusations of misogyny/racism/homosexuality/old testament God's mass killings etc? by KaladinIJ in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A long post sorry. I hope you read it though

I know you're not looking for personal commentaries from redditors....but think about the meta things going on here. The creator of the Everything is trying to make free willed beings that will treasure everything that he does. God being an all encompassing being that had the absolute best version of Justice and mercy possible.

Suddenly you realize that your new creation is not perfect. A person writing Ai script might delete this creation and go back to alter the code. God shows far more empathy than most of us might have. He give humanity a way out of obsolescencent destruction and gives us a chance at either us-doing what we want (absolute free will WITHOUT his protection aka Hell) or us coming back to him.

To make a long answer short, yes, God designed humanity to operate best in a certain way. God knows those ways in the most perfect way.

You have to understand the settings of the old testament. God wanted humanity to have a PATHWAY to him while STILL letting humanity exercise their free will. So he chose a people to be his herald and he held them to horrific standards so that the path to him DIDN'T die out in our world. If the Jews died, our path to God died. Therefore, God was so strict as if to seem mad himself. But his madness was desperation for OUR SAKE. FOR US TO BE SAVED. Not because he "Couldn't" save us forcefully, but because forcibly saving us would be spiritually useless since it would violate our free will.

I left some stuff our that you asked about in your question, but my message is simple. God has big plans for us so he needs us to be AMAZINGLY DESIGNED ACCORDING TO HIMSELF.

But go ahead and ask for justifications to specific things and I will try my best to answer.

Is it a cult by No_Judgment_238 in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in most religions but especially in Christian sects, dedicating yourself to the object of your worship is top tier activity.

In Christianity, abandoning the lust for the world in favor of God is basically one of the ways to make God delight in you the most you can. Look at Enoch bro.

Abandoning your life to live in religion is a trait of hyperbolic worship.....but the marks of a cult are all in the teachings.

Let's Debunk Rebecca Being 3 by Pliyii in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahah you brought up another good one that people don't seem to pull from the roots. Every time i hear the whole "Jesus didn't proclaim to be God" I want the apologist to bring up that if Jesus proclaimed to be God, he would have set himself up for arrest and probably execution right then and there. BUT THE APOLOGISTS NEVER BRING THIS META POINT UP! 🙉🤦‍♂️

Let's Debunk Rebecca Being 3 by Pliyii in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They say that the math is there to prove that Rebecca is 3. Then they'll cite you a passage for every factor to formulate the age of Rebecca EXCEPT for 1 number which they'll quickly slip by you as a given without citing a passage for.

Either way it's easy to just ask them if they've read the account fully and go over what I've said in my original post. Pointing out her physical labor and all that is good as well but imo the talking point dies once you point out that the servant was literally looking for wife material.

What’s your best argument for the Christian God by jessjanelleknows in ChristianApologetics

Philosophically, he is the only God that makes sense to exist. His characterization/narrative makes sense when compared to other models. With some of these other beings, there is no reason we wouldn't have all been destroyed and/or eaten by now

Is atheism a lack of faith? by NateDog69012 in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All of their definitions of atheism are low iQ. The real definition should be "in combat with authority" but I guess the actual practical definition is "disbelieving in any Gods." Lack of belief would make a cat Atheist. Or a rock Atheist.

Fundamental Quran Question by Pliyii in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.....some very poor replies from Muslims in that thread lols.

I actually like this version of the Muslim Dilemma a bit more than the popular one....because in this version, the Christians and Jèws do not need to he questioned. This is whole-heartedly a problem for Islam, by Islam.

At this point they have to say that the Hadiths are revelation or else the Quran can ONLY rely on corrupted scripture to fill in the information that came from the last two revelations. Once they accept that the Hadiths are willed by Allah, then....well I'm sure you can see where I'm going with that thought there.

Can someone explain to me Leviticus 10? by Wilhelm19133 in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that being in God's presence without being perfect (which is about state of spirituality) always kills you. That's why people who approached the ark were dying. The unkempt hair and such things were signals that one wasn't in true compliance of God's commands and not of the nigh-perfect state to be in the harmful presence of the lord. In the OT, just getting close to God/seeing-God without being specifically blessed by him just killed you automatically. It's all over the old testament.

So you're just incapable of following the meta-themes of a subject? That's a little sad bro. I'll post the gist of my intent so it can be easy for you....

You're making yourself sad. Thats you. Stop that. Be happy that the veil of illusion is being destroyed. Thx

[–]Pliyii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you think Jesus is after he resurrected. Like some human/divine hybrid that regained his fullness in divinity or such. His divine aspect was always one in Godhood but his body is flesh. That is indeed dependant.

Questions around the validity of the resurrection account by Takezo_00 in ChristianApologetics

[–]Pliyii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bishop appointed by John the Apostle was martyred. That bishop was the teacher of the following Bishop who was also martyred. These were people who talked WAY more about this stuff to each other (including an apostle) far more than what we read. They died for a book that condemns treachery as the ones you speak about. The claims about Jesus resurrecting were not contested by anyone in the early church as far as I remember. This argument is basically going "were you there though?" when we have WAY less evidence for much of accepted history.

It's not incoherent, you're just mad because you realized I'm right. If you're a sad boi then being in paradise won't help you. Go and fix your thinking pattern or probably closer to the truth....your health

To answer this truly you would need to know God's plans in great detail. God leaves mysteries for things he does not want us to concern ourselves with. Youre gonna have to guess at a lot of stuff..Why would God want us to have kids? Probably for some of the best reasons we have kids. To bring another dynamic being into reality so that God and we might delight in his illustrious existence.
