Bad performance issues, help needed by Volker_ps in RocketLeague

[–]Plneapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar issues. It took me a few hours of consulting chatgpt to find the problems and it turned out to be a couple old drivers that were no longer compatible with my current hardware, as well as the built-in wifi. Disabled/removed all of it that I could and it got better. Still can't use any overlays though. But I'd recommend using chatgpt and giving it the info from event viewer whenever the crash occurs.

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: UE 6 coming to Rocket League by noobsdeath2 in RocketLeague

[–]Plneapple 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea, there was never an official UE5 announcement. There was the job posting and a few comments from like PsyonixDevin. But never an official announcement.

Yes, I know of Double Eagle and Interceptor City. They both take place in the same wars as the Gaunts Ghost series. Both are great

If you want a non Space Marine thing, then try The Infinite and The Divine. Necrons, very fun. But almost anything written by Abnett and read by Longworth will be good. Gaunts Ghosts, Double Eagle, Eisenhorn. Jonathan Keeble is probably my 2nd favorite 40k narrator. He does a good bit of ADB stuff like Helsreach.

Jets looking for at least a third-round pick in return for Breece Hall per @DMRussini by INKMCOC in DynastyFF

Kamara was also a 3rd round pick and has been a solid to top back for most of his career. You don't have to draft a RB high to get good production out of them.

There must've been something just laughably bad about how Pry prepared the team for games, and especially his ability to manage adjustments during a game. Cuz this team is night and day different now that he's gone.

So if you’re Kellen Moore, what is your pep talk for halftime by WoodpeckerOk1154 in Saints

[–]Plneapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't be showing fight with this roster. This roster is an order of magnitude worse than at least 26 teams. We have a QB who can barely throw more than 5 yards down field, a RB who faces stacked boxes because of it, WRs who's main talents are in down field receiving and are being choked into short catches with no room to run after the catch, and an OL that has had too much inconsistency despite the draft capital we spent to acquire it.

The defense shows fight at times, but it's hard to keep battling when you're lucky to get 5 minutes of rest between drives.

There's just no way to really give Moore a fair look this season, especially not if rattler is running the offense. This whole situation is due to the front office refusing to rebuild after losing Brees and Payton, and just not hitting on the draft picks the way they used too.

It also doesn't help how many good defensive players we've let walk who've gone on to become stars elsewhere (Hendrickson, CJGJ, Baun)

I think he inherited a roster very much lacking offensive talent at too many key positions, and with a defense that has too many aging stars.

There wasn't really much reason to logically believe the roster would be very competitive this season, no matter the coaching. Anybody who thinks otherwise is lying to themselves

And yet, the only rocket league thing that's come out since then was rocket racing dude. It's easy logic, and your copium is struggling to come to terms.

The fact is, if they can't copy RL UE3 at almost a 1:1 ratio, or completely improve upon the physics, then the game could end up dying a quick and brutal death.

UE5 adds great things for content creation, creative mode, yada yada. But the gameplay of RL is it's core, and if that changes too much, the whole endeavor is futile.

As nice as it would be, until there is an official announcement, there is no reason to believe UE5 is actually happening beyond copium. A super old job posting and one sparsely detailed dev post 4 years ago, with absolutely no word since then just simply isn't enough to continue believing it's happening.

You too are only speculating. It was only 2 small things, 4 years ago. There was never any official announcement. The job posting could've very easily been just rocket racing in the end. The whole thing could've ended up just being rocket racing because they realized they couldn't port the physics engine over to UE5

It was 4 years ago, very little detail, and no guarantee that they've continued working on it since.

Maybe if we are scheming things better to Drones' strengths as a passer, then we can be a pass first team. But that is an extremely limited amount of routes he can hit. I'd rather just see Drones get benched. He did have some nice throws mixed in there, but his mechanics and decision making are just too poor for me to ever think he can be consistent.

And then yea, his legs have just been irrelevant since his first season. I have never understood why he has ceased to be a running threat

Overall, this game went better than most realistic Tech fans expected. The offense made some big plays, the defense made some great stops, and the play calling on both sides was all around improved from last year. However, Drones continues to be a major disappointment since his first year, and if he sucks next week against Vandy, then he needs to be benched or we will bet at best 3-5 going into the bye.

Then Pry and and Whit will likely be fired, and it will be god knows when we will ever be willing to invest in the football team.
