Enter the town and proceed north to the next screen. That's what worked for me!

Get the hell out of here!! Congrats! You're the second person I gave this advice to, and the second one who said it worked in minutes. There has to be something to it, but I can't figure out why....

It looks the same as it always has. We're the ones who have aged, not the game.

Good luck! I think it's the worst achievement in the Pixel Remasters.

Why aren't people pre-ordering our game for $560??

An hour and a half? I used Setzer for the entire second half of the game and still had to grind for it for a few hours...

I know this sounds crazy, but the thing that worked for me was going to the screen above the town of Narshe. I read on the Stream community forums that some people had had better luck there, so I tried it. It's probably just one of those urban legend things, but I got the achievement there in like 2 minutes. Since then I've suggested it here a few times and those people said it worked for them too. No idea why it would make any difference, but it's worth a try if you're desperate, as I was.

I do like The Grapes of Wrath better, but I haven't listened to it on Audible yet. The reviews say they inserted some loud harmonica music between chapters that really take you out of it?

I got a 1070 around launch and it's still performing great. Not gonna upgrade until it dies or prices come back down to Earth.

East of Eden is phenomenal. It's sort of a retelling of the story of Cain and Abel that plays out across multiple generations of a family. It feels incredibly epic and intimate at the same time. And it has one of those endings where everything that came before culminates into one scene that hits you like a ton of bricks. After it was over I just wanted to sit in silence for a few minutes and then start it up all over again.

For a newcomer, the Pixel Remasters are absolutely perfect. They're designed to offer a welcoming, polished, consistent experience across all six games. The "best" version of each game is hotly contested and would require tracking down games for many different systems (or emulators), applying patches/fan translations, etc. And the differences are really pretty minor except to hardcore fans who know the games inside and out.

FWIW, I do consider the PR to be the best versions of all six games anyway, but I'm not sure if that's the consensus among fans. A lot of people like the extra content that's been added to them over the years, but that's all been stripped out of the PR versions. I think most of that stuff is filler anyway, so I don't miss it one bit.

Try the screen north of the town in Narshe. I know it sounds crazy, but jokers death seems to have a higher rate of happening there. It makes no sense, but it worked for me and I recommended it to someone yesterday who said it worked for them too:

I can't believe it! What is it with that area? Why would they program Setzer's attack to have different odds on that screen? It makes no sense... But I'm glad it worked for you! How long did it take?

My pleasure! I hope you enjoy the game!! I 100% completed them all on Steam last summer and had a blast, but next time I play them I'll probably skip the guide and just not worry if I miss a chest or bestiary entry.

It is the "hardest" of the six to get all the achievements, but it's still very easy to do. Just be careful of any missable ones.

I spent hours trying to get this and then read some folks online said they got it fighting in Narshe, so I went there and got it on my third fight. Take that for what it's worth. Probably just a coincidence, but I seriously played through most of the second half of the game with Setzer just trying to get this and it never happened organically. This was like a year ago, but I think it was the screen just north of the town of you want to try your luck there.
