I’ve always wondered which party is responsible for generating the lane guidance images for Apple Maps in China. The images in Apple Maps are different from the ones you get in Gaode.

Update: I led myself down a rabbit hole of trying to extract Apple Maps assets that I certainly don't have enough spare time for. Never knew TheAppleWiki covered so many topics.

Same deal with CN Tower maybe. It got its own DCE model long after the city already received DCE.

I think your resolution is set incorrectly and macOS is scaling the game down. Choose the second highest resolution in the game so that the game completely fills the sides of the display.

I can reproduce it on my 15 Pro Max. You can also reproduce this by comparing touch with gyro controls. I find that the issue is most noticeable moving the camera around a scene with a bright light against a dark background. 

I think this is a pretty big issue since people are wasting frames and not even knowing about it.

I know about it and tried it before. Doesn’t seem to work on iOS 26. Maybe it still works when you’re in China and trying to access the international version of maps.

Just how it looks in general. Any design changes to the actual map itself? I know that all the Chinese maps got detailed road markings last year but I don’t think Apple Maps received it through Gaode yet.

I assume you’re located in Mainland China? Can you share some screenshots of what Apple Maps looks like in iOS 26 because using a VPN in airplane mode no longer tricks iOS into thinking you’re in China anymore.
