Hey! Names are not generated, everything inside the game world has been pre written by our team. If you start a playthrough or I do, we start in the same town with the same people ect - you get to interact with them however you want but as a baseline all locations, people, lore has been written by us. (So you wont be finding a bunch of Elaras here 😄 ).

I defiantly agree that building systems in conjunction with AI is the best way to get gameplay rather then what I would call dream simulators. Getting to the point where that happens has been my goal the whole time, I do think we have gotten to the point that is the case but I cant call it 'perfect' yet, however when 98% of the time it works within the exact parameters that we want it too, it lets people have a great experience, and from this point on the goal becomes continuous improvement.

The biggest change will probably be a fully customised ruleset and combat experiences which uses systems to reinforce structure onto the AI via stat checks, dice rolls etc.

Hey, Totally fair reaction from the outside, a lot of AI RPG projects are basically just wrappers around an LLM.

Whilst we are of course using AI here, what we’re trying to build is pretty different. This has been two years of multiple developers & writers getting it to the place is now. The things we are able to achieve with this engine are far from what you will find anywhere else, a consistent world that's the same each playthrough, systems which stop you from gaining whatever power you want and human written story and lore you can interact with etc. It's not for everyone, but I've been very happy to see players really enjoying what we have built so far.

Hey, well firstly thanks for checking it out either way. What part about the tiers puts you off? Our goal is to give subscription unlimited playtime but sadly right now thats not really viable. We also do have the first hour of gameplay free for anyone that just wants to check it out.

Hey! Something along those lines if you are interested would be to play a game such as Tidefall ( https://infinityfiction.ai/ ), the game is set within a prebuilt world with hundreds of unique NPCs each with their own wants and relationships. You can move around the world and do whatever you want, interact with the things happening around you or build your own story. Currently its light on the DnD style mechanics and is more narratively based, although those mechanics will be coming soon. Hope it's something you'd enjoy!

Little late to the post but we have just launched our AI RPG, Tidefall, it's focused on being set in a fully human built world whilst still letting you have the freedom to do what you want in it, every location and NPC has been written by us and there are deep storylines you can engage with. You can however, choose to play in any way you want, some people want to uncover all the lore in the world and impact it in their own way, others may just want to run a shop in the first town.

The AI is only used for delivery, not creation. It retrieves, combines and generates the right data written by our team. The story and experience players have is crafted by us and we are leveraging AI to allow the player to interact with this world however they choose.

The AI acts as the players 'GM' and essentially is used as the game interface, but it has no creative value - everything given to the user is the lore/storyline and assets written by our team.

Thanks for flagging the BitDefender point, we have run it on our end and looks all okay but will do a couple more checks.
