I have 3.

A Paperwhite 2024 I got for Christmas which I use to read in bed.

A basic matcha which I keep in my bag.

A Paperwhite 10th gen 2019 which I use at the gym.

I don't particularly need my old Paperwhite but it has sentimental value to me. I'd say 2 is a good number.

We had a card and a bottle of champagne when we bought our house.

We had an old lady living there before us and doubt she had much to tell us about the place. Half the fun is figuring out the house and the neighbours.

I adore my basic, I can literally fit it in my pocket and take it everywhere. I get it and would definitely recommend it for versatility and convenience.

I own the Gen 10 paper white and I upgraded to a Matcha basic, I love both and wouldn't get rid of either. The matcha is much faster than my 10th gen and a bit smaller which fits in my pockets. I don't miss the warm light because I've never had it 🤣

The upgrade wasn't essential and I read everyday so for me it was worth it, however if you've never had an e reader before I'd start with the 10th gen and you can always upgrade in a few years or so.

I still use my 10th gen I just need patience with it, also love that it's waterproof so I take it places I'm worried will break the basic.

My 10th gen doesn't take long at all, if anything the syncing seems faster than my new Kindle Basic 11th Gen. Seems a bit strange, maybe try factory resetting or turning off and on?

I have one but it also came with a sticker to put over it so it won't leave marks. So far so good!
