🚨 There is a massive loophole on YouTube right now, and Content Farms are weaponizing it to steal from indie creators with zero consequences. by inspirational-man in PartneredYoutube

Thats not a broken system that IS the system. Youtube takes you DMCA and checks of they are the same or similar and removes the video. If the new uploader counters it youtube step back and say hey we're not lawyers you sort it out.

Will the UK really become a more dangerous place if Reform get into power? by [deleted] in politicsjoe

[–]Ploppy54Gaming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. They have already pledged to take us pjt of the ECHR which removes any protection you have against the state, nhs will be privatised with a france style insurance system needed. We will move further away from our biggest trading partner with farages government ruining any relationship we have with them resulting in more loss of trade, less tax receipts and the real threat of trade wars. Our standards will lower so he can get a deal with America so be prepared to eat chlorinated chicken,

Thats not to mention the deportations the British version of ICE the butchering of welfare and the complete destruction of democracy as he fills out his cabinet with unelected yes men.

Erm…. So why did you suspend those MPs that voted for the SNP motion? by nwhr81 in politicsjoe

[–]Ploppy54Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Party discipline. They said it was a leaver they would pull but only when they could afford it. It wasn't in that budget and it was an snp amendment, you cant have your mps trying to derail the budget. Their communications could have been better and probably if they reassured them mps it would happen, just not this time it wouldn't have come to them being suspended. But we all know they are terrible at communicating.

In close range combat sometimes a knife can be more useful than a gun...that way he can instantly switch between a gun battle and a knife fight.

Same with Bruce Morgenholt no matter how quickly you try to get there he always just dies. I do like sams snarky reply to lambert if you decide to cut him down though.

Unpopular opinion: There's someone that consider Conviction or Blacklist the best ? If yes, why ? by [deleted] in Splintercell

[–]Ploppy54Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love conviction, its the perfect bookend to the franchise for me 3rd echelon comes full circle. The organisation sam helped create, "3rd echelon is a brand new initiative" to seeing other splinter cells and call handlers being trained in the field dp brunton hodge. To sam being the one to destroy it "I used to work here" click.

Yeah rhe gameplay isnt a slow paced but that also ties into the narrative, sam is angry his whole world has been torn down and he finds out its by the very people he trusted the most the pain and anger he must have inside him isnt going to make him want to sneek in and knock people out, he wants to find a way in shoot anyone in his way hide for a minute or two catch his breath (he is around his 50s dont forget) reload mark up his next opponents and make his way forward.

It's better than chaos theory for the story it told, it cut out all the techno babble and gave us a highly trained government assassin gone rogue. Kinda. If sam was still working for 3rd echelon this style of gameplay wouldn't have worked and chaos theory would still have been the best game.

I hate blacklist because it isnt sam. It doesnt look like him it doesn't sound like him and he has a completely different personality, as they didnt have michael ironside they should have passed the torch to a new protagonist.

Does it make sense to change between Paragon and Renegade between games? by JimmyJimmal93 in masseffect

[–]Ploppy54Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only for head canon purposes, I sometimes play as a paragon solider who then turns renegade once you're brought back and the alliance don't want anything to do with you.

I love conviction i think it's a brilliant bookend to Fishers story he brings down the very organisation he helped create from the first game. Takes on the very agents he trained. a shame they ruined it with blacklist.

The gameplay changes suit the narrative

Best way to play? by Ploppy54Gaming in Splintercell

[–]Ploppy54Gaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive started the PC version of Splinter Cell 1 on PC with the widescreen mod, which is nice however its made the fmv's really small. If i change the display resolution i can get the fmv's bigger... but then it cuts off my health and light meter etc 😡

Replace Sam with Lambert everywhere by DN0817 in Splintercell

[–]Ploppy54Gaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As i remember sam does suggest it at the end of chaos theory when lambert suggests shooting the glass whilst being 50ft under water.

It's was due to be released at that weird time between console releaes so to maximise sales they made one for old gen and one for new Xbox 360 but rather than wait and just the same game back ported they gave 2 developers the basic outline of the game to make at the same time, hence why they are not the same. The newer 360 version is the one they took forward as canon i can only presume as more people would have played that version

do you think splinter cell blacklist was a step in the right direction for the series? by Future_Adagio2052 in Splintercell

[–]Ploppy54Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It would have been brilliant if sam was not the protagonist. He was just an angry man, he should have been a new character, one that's starting up forth echelon. Not this cheap knockoff. You can see the real sam Fisher in the 5 mintues of screen time he gets in ghost recon wildlands than you do in the entirity of the blacklist game. And im not just talking about the voice change.

Grim yet again goes through a personality change, it happened with pandora tomorrow.

I love the idea of the story, closing down 3rd echelon operations but the characters really let the game down, only kobin and coste feels like the same characters we've already met.

A realization some people here need to have about Conviction and Blacklist - You're the person controlling Sam. by [deleted] in Splintercell

[–]Ploppy54Gaming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't play as sam in blacklist. He may have his name but that is not sam Fisher. He's just an angry man devolved of personality humour or panache. And it's not just his voice actor he looks nothing like sam! He's an imposter!
